Hi my name is James, I have a few question in need of answers ASAP.

I am a RCA at the moment, and i bidded on the PTF position couple weeks ago. I just got it and if a regular route opens up do i automatically get that open route and become a regular? Or do i have to do a certain amount of days as a PTF before i have the rights to bid on a route again? i am confused and seeking for answers. Its been a year working for the postal service. Thank you in advance!!

No minimum days required.

If a regular route comes up for bid you must take the route (PTF can not turn down a regular route)

The way I read the contract it does not stipulate that the PTF has to bid but is awarded the vacancy. (a PTF may bid if there are more than 1 vacancies posted to get their preferred route)

jameshuang15  --  Hopefully there were more senior RCA's who passed on bidding for the PTF position!!

--  As long as you are the only PTF in the building, you should get a regular route when it is posted.

--  That being said, just hope there is no excessed regular carrier within 50-100 miles as that carrier would get the route ( if willing to move )
