RCA stories

This visit RCA has worked this route with multiple back to back days under MATRIX at least a dozen of times and they worked last SAT. This was first gig on a day after Holiday in APO. Apparently the RMPO offices under my APO are allowing this carrier to curtail of mail of their choice due to lack of enforcement under the APO be it day after holiday or not to meet end of tour time. The ignorant carriers in the RMPOS have not submitted a full day of relief grievance over their actions and following next day case time for bundle mail left behind not cased.

Oh my. The sub next to me today left the reg three full tubs of flats for tomorrow. Gotta love the day after a holiday. Then we do have a "princess" just ask her. She is always carrying on about how heavy some parcels are and needs help pushing the nutty cart up the ramp with her package pickup. Usually flirts with a clerk to do it for her. Then! was put out when she was reminded she needed to be able to lift 70 pounds.

Yeah, it's that way at my office too... subs are used to doing wth they want... roll mail, wtf, no biggie, that mean old Reg can clean it up later... ?

No “managing” the mail in my office unless you ARE on the route the next day. If an RCA is scheduled on their Primary, they can curtail with mgmt approval. If not, nope, take it all. I “manage mine ONLY with dated items that are for a later date. ?

Article 29 Section 5. Licensed Drivers Provided by Employee
In the event a regular rural carrier, substitute rural carrier or a
rural carrier associate in a leave earning capacity loses his or
her driving privileges and cannot be employed in the installation,
a licensed driver meeting the Employer’s driving standards
may be provided by the regular rural carrier, substitute
rural carrier or the rural carrier associate in a leave earning
capacity at the carrier’s option and expense for a period not to
exceed one (1) year. This paragraph is applicable to only the
employee’s personal vehicle.

This is Postal Logic:

The Guy or Gal who gets a DUI, Blows past a school bus with red flashing lights, or has too many accidents or speeding tickets is rewarded with options...
The carrier whose water pump or radiator gives out gets to work 3/4 of the day for free, NO HELP ALLOWED IN THIS POLICY

"loses his or
her driving privileges"
being the key to this policy

Sounds about right. The usps has had its head up its butt forever. If the PO were a business in the private sector, it would have failed in the first few years if that.

Any professional-CEO type in the private sector would recognize of the top of their head that the USPS model cannot operate without losing a ton of money. The whole concept flies against profit-based logic and efficiency. Yet, its what citizens expect, and they wrongly and stubbornly believe they are paying for it in taxes.
