RCA to CCA / PSE

Can you accept an RCA position and continue to apply via the USPS website for open CCA or PSE positions?

In other words start working as an RCA (to gain the experience) and continue to apply to see if you land another position. Then if you do land the other position, resign and take the new craft?

Ok thank you. I have been applying to other positions and wanted to make sure I didn't jam myself up with the RCA position. I want to come on and learn. I figure it will be a good start at the very least.

I have seen RCAs line up city side CCA or PSE positions, and resign and switch over, so it is doable.... and it does happen...

RCAs normally have the longest and slowest path to a career position, as CCAs and PSEs are usually much faster... switching should arguably be easier... never seen anybody switch to RCA tho... just sayin'....
