• Everyone, please help make our jobs easier and choose the correct category. Thank you

Really sad, angry, frustrated and confused. I'm a mess.

Try to find a non-Amazon, UPS, Fedex last mile delivery office for you get no extra pay and no extra POV mileage from the mailbox to the front door!

Thank god I didn't choose to be an Amazon delivery guy. Have been reading on Reddit and on Youtube, the horror stories of being an Amazon Flex (I believe that is what they call them) driver. Working in the warehouse was bad enough.

Decline the RCA offer, and wait for the CCA spot. The rural carrier craft is the most abused craft by management. You are already getting a taste of how shitty the USPS is. Not having to deal with a vehicle requirement is a big plus. As a cca you will get paid for each and every minute you work. As an RCA you will NOT. I just retired 7 months ago after 27 years, and as a CCA, all of your time is creditable service for retirement. As an RCA, it is not.

Did my finger prints/scan and spoke to [The Dude] ..... the post(MASTER). IF ..... everything goes well and get the green light to start, I will be doing 6 days, 40 to 55hrs a week. Month 1 - review, Month 2 - another review and MUST know 1 route and do a pivot, Month 3 another review........ and whatever else pops-up:cry:. Am not too nervous about it and will MOST likely forget about it and do my job, BUT..... damn! 3 reviews‼

Do YOU know anything about pay - he said, raise after 3 months, then another after 42..?? weeks then wait until you become a regular for more $$$. Then something about after 8hrs. time&1/2, then after 12hrs double pay, THEN.... after 40hrs. time&1/2 AND after 50 or 60hrs double pay.....??? Does this seem right or did I heard it wrong...?? Can shed some light on this please.

Hello and welcome!

Yes, the new hiring process is ridiculous.

Yes, the job posting should indicate the size of vehicle needed.

But.

This is the USPS. Logic and reason don't exist here.

Don't buy new. Buy a junker until you know this is for you.

And if you get an offer for the CCA, take it and resign your RCA position.

That's all I got. Good luck!!
Ditto for oi veh from this 30 year veteran...
