I am nearing the time for Medicare and would like to know if anyone converted their RCBP to the RCBP Advantage plan to go with parts A&B or if they suspended it and got a private $0 premium Advantage plan with similar deductibles and co-pays as the regular RCBP to go with parts A&B.

I do not have RCBP health insurance but I have opted for other Advantage plans within the PSHB plans and have been very happy with the coverage. The coverage is great and you get a Part B rebate. I have had MHBP Advantage, GEHA Standard MA plan and I now have the Aetna Advantage MA plan. I would not suspend PSHB coverage because the coverage is better than anything you could convert to with commercial insurance, I believe. $0 copays for almost everything. My cost for self plus one is $298.06 for Aetna Advantage and my cost for Medicare Part B is $202.90/ month, plus I get a $100 rebate each month, as does my wife. Our total cost each month is $503.86. Everything but dental is covered by this plan. I do have a separate dental plan to help with dental costs.
