Rigid piece

I feel dumb posting this, but I feel there are some gray areas in the mail count guide and things that can be interpreted differently.  The term rigid is one such example.  Does a rigid item have to be completely solid and not flex at all?  A good example is how checkbooks now show up in the mail.(not referring to the boxes that they used to be in)  To me they seem rigid, and are over 5" in height, but pm takes them and flexes them and states they are not rigid.  Now granted, they do flex somewhat, but they seem rigid to me.

Don't worry about the rigid part, put them straight up and show him how they won't fit into the case with other mail with out extra ordinary force.
