Route Cut

I am currently assigned to an Auxiliary Route. About a year ago a vacant route was cut and added to my route. When the route came open for bid, another regular (who is constantly filing grievances on one thing or another) bid on it and was awarded the route. She immediately began steps to file a grievance concerning the adjustment. She says her grievance was successful (although nothing has been sent to the postmaster). She says she will be getting the addresses back as well as being awarded backpay. Is there anything I can do?

Any help would be wonderful!

Tscott -- Sorry to say but some regulars are like manglement, anything they say should be taken with a saltshaker's worth of salt.

-- If your office has a steward, ask that person about the situation. If not, contact your Assistant District Representative ( ADR ) or District Representative ( DR ).

-- Not really sure the regular's grounds for grieving the previous adjustment, since it was not her route at the time.

We need RCA's badly in my part of Virginia. Seems so odd to have one for every route. We have 25 routes in our office which is really 3 offices of 9. 8. and 8. The 9 office has a vacant hold down with 1 rca stuck there who is promoted next week to a different office and when he is gone there will be 2 in this part. One 8 office has 4 rca's (this is where the top management works out of). The other 8 office created an unnofficial Aux route that is 7 hours a week (Yes 1 hour a day) that takes a rca 6 hours to complete (though it shouldn't take more than 2)., has 1 vacant route and 3 rca's to cover that. No hiring appears to be happening at all. We are supposedly one office that shares everyone but since the pandemic nobody goes back and forth between locations (and management stopped trying to share them in 2019 due to not liking each other)
