A route in our office has a road closed for a bridge repair so the carrier has to deviate every day. It wont be done until June 2018. How will this affect the evaluation of the route during mail count?

-- POV or LLV?
-- AUX or Regular route?
-- Route mileage before the bridge repair?
-- New route mileage because of the bridge repair?
-- Is manglement calling it a "detour" or a "deviation"? Back when -- a "deviation" was when one had to leave the line of travel to deal with an Express Item. Apparently "detour" is the new "temporary route deviation". ( been out too long! )
-- Pages 10, 15 and 18 deal with "Temporary Route Deviations".
-- When the "temporary route deviation" ends in June 2018, there will be a reduction in route mileage, hence a reduction in Standard Hours ( 1 mile = 12 minutes ) and possibly a reduction in route classification.

It doesn't effect mail count. Once 30 days of a forced deviation has gone by (like road construction) then the deviation is "built into the route". The deviation is to be added to the line of travel until it is no longer needed at which time it will be removed.
