RRECS carrier impacts – Submissions so far

peeps love to say volume is down... sure is FROM 1996.... u only go to the last mail count, at least rural does... my last count in 2018, thanks to manipulation and plain hiding, had less mail and packages than the mini count of spring 2023!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is 100%%%%%%% loss of pay for every mail box and delivering dps for free and a little bit of wrecks mistakes and omissions
anybody who says mail volume is down hates rural carriers or has not delivered mail ever ..or since 2010

Here are some numbers for you. Remember for most routes, maintaining or gaining volume is because the route gained boxes. ( ie: my route has been over 200 additional curbside from when I originally started on it ) Not just volume only.
The PO has added millions of deliveries while volume has declined.

Pretty much. When you go from 20-30 minutes week to verify DPS to 10-15, it kills a route easy.

again adding, from feb 2018 to feb 2023, the mail in our office that was counted was up... amazing how not hiding or asking mailers to divert, what it will do to figures'''' we are delivering the exact same amount of mail we were in the mid 1980's.... buttt, 2 X as many houses...

2023 w/Amazon, parcel credits = over 800 minutes ( 11 more daily average parcel count)

So does it really take you an extra 470 minutes(almost 8 hrs) per week to deliver those almost equal (+ 66/wk) parcels ? If yes, then ok, RRECS is fair. If no, then the engineers assessment must be flawed.

Maybe I was under compensated for the parcels under the old system. Did you take that into account?
No, you only looked at the difference in parcels. You don't know the volume #s. The distance walked/driven. Large/small.

No, I don’t know anything at all about your route. You probably were under compensated by the old count system. I don’t begrudge any carriers who fared well under RRECS. You posted the difference concerning parcels. All I was asking was did the engineers get it right you are now working almost your exact evaluation ?

No, I don’t know anything at all about your route. You probably were under compensated by the old count system. I don’t begrudge any carriers who fared well under RRECS. You posted the difference concerning parcels. All I was asking was did the engineers get it right you are now working almost your exact evaluation ?

Wasn't the engineers goal that 80% of carriers beat their evaluation?
I have always been able to beat evaluation, most days. Sometimes barely, sometimes a lot. Old/RRECs doesn't matter.

I said maybe. I am very organized. Efficient. People in office have actually started doing things that I've been doing for years.
Twice, in my postal career, I've had observers come and watch me work.
Enough about me.
I would also say my route is near perfect for evaluated. That's why I'll never leave it.
Isn't this an incentive system?

Huge difference 470 minutes I don't mind losing 60 minutes on Dps.Rrecs increased my evaluation 5 hours more than all the counts combined in the last 6 years.

Everyone loves to complain about the dps standard, what about the parcel delivery time standard? Was that a loss too? Lmao!

I guess they ole saying every route is different doesn't apply here. As Worve said

For most suburban routes not one bit, for true rural routes it can be a wash small gain or lose. As the crow flies many of the houses are 200 feet from mailbox, the driveway can be 1/4 mile or longer. It’s a killer on apartment routes with multiple floors.

Bingo especially those almost but not quite 1/2 mile driveway. Man I can match that speed matrix 100%. So many routes are different but yet for new system we just screwed over many people.
