That is correct. District demands to have say over whether an office needs a PTF position & how many.
The PTFs Pay is at the bottom of whatever Schedule (1 or 2) that you fall under when going Career. Currently, Schedule 2 PTFs are at $20.93/hr.

Just got Ptf 2 months ago, 1 year Rca prior. I went from 17.78 an hour as rca to 20.37 and with the increase this past paycheck I am now at 20.81 an hour. The benefits are you are guaranteed a certain amount of minimum days. I have 3 days minimum. I can still make overtime. I get 13 days sick per year and 13 days vacation per year. I get health benefits as well. The only thing rural ptf doesn't get vs regulars are paid holidays. It's a great position to have. I love it.

One of those Rural pay oddities is that PTF Holiday Pay is factored into hourly rate by way of a 40hr route annual salary being divided by 2000 instead of 2080. The 80 hr difference being the 10 paid holidays otherwise. Magic bean counters they are.

So that would explain why on my paystub 3 of the routes have annual pay listed and other routes don't have the annual posted. I do all 15 routes in a formula office that uses no formula. Lol
