That looks great compared to what many of us deal with. Since you are driving a POV and are questioning your safety you may choose to invest in different mirrors, perhaps telescoping/tow mirrors to improve your view.

No, especially the first one. My advice is to get your mail all together right before the corners, wait for the traffic behind to clear, and hammer down to the box. Then chuck and go....and for what it is worth, the Post Office talks out of both sides of its mouth when it comes to safety.

@jaymacgthree has a good point there regarding the mirrors. Another idea is you could get those small self adhesive/glue on convex mirrors and place them on the lower left and the lower right area of each respective mirror. The convex increases your field of view.
