Scanners

never know.

that's why i put mine on top of my radio speaker.

and sometimes speak directly into it when the PM has done something especially egregious or i want to complain about the shoddy work produced by the plant.
I was gonna say, mine gets an earful sometimes but it would only serve to document the corruption and negligence around me at work. Let them try to use my words against me! :ROFLMAO:

Hold on; is there a microphone on the scanner and if so where is it located?
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Are you panicking....is this one of those moments where the Wife gave ya a happy day, in your mail vehicle on lunch time? I've enjoyed some days like that....put your scanner in your lunch box....problem solved.😂🤣😂🤣🤠

I've read the hundreds of pages of the manual for the Zebra scanners we now use. The capabilities are amazing! BUT...most are not in use by the postal service, as each function adds significant costs which we can't afford now. Everyone uses the same basic scanners now, UPS, FedEx, even Carls Jr use similar systems. They just use different proprietary programs that give them the features and uses each company feels are important.

They can barely handle the basic functions we as rural carriers use it for. Just to add the "vacation hold" prompt was a pretty big undertaking but because there are so many relief carriers now working routes nationally, it cuts down on customer complaints by implementing the addition.

As federal employees, if management ever utilized a listening option without consent, you can bet that would be a massive lawsuit the post office would lose quickly, along with damages. Management has plenty of chances to screw us without having to go that route.
