Second Trip Question

I run an aux route. Got back at 1pm. Was told by PM his boss said we (all carriers) must be held for truck with parcels to be delivered today. Ok ... the truck shows up at 4:30 and I finish up around 5:20. Carriers got the second trip pay and me along with two other RCA assigned on routes was told to put all time on green card.It seems like common sense that I'm carrying my aux route and the others are assigned to a route that day that we all should get second trip pay. I'm assuming you get paid a lot more for that and that's why. any thoughts about this? And what is the exact details of second trip pay. I know of it but not the full details.

Second trip pay is ONLY 2 minutes per mile, loading time, and EMA for any mileage over 40 daily miles if a POV route.
I.e. 2nd trip was only 10 miles round trip. Route driven was 35 miles. It took 10 minutes to load. Pay would be 10 minutes(load) + 20 minutes(trip time) + 5 miles EMA (if POV) = 30 minutes + 5 miles.

You likely will get paid more on a green card since you get actual time and EMA (POV) for those miles regardless of the daily mileage driven.
Glad we don't have any clerks to pitch in the afternoon for our office.

I wasn't concerned about it ... I just like to know these things for future knowledge. I did get paid over 4 hours for delivering 30 min. parcel run.
