Sector Segment Letters Question

Back from the groove yard of moldy oldies.

I believe they are going to try to credit what was previously credited as raw letters as sector segment this time.

History

We first got sector segmented letters, then they "PERFECTED" cough cough DPS.

First count after that they gave DPS count and credited multiples (think apartments and A,B,C, etc) that came in a separate tray as sector segment.

Next count Union Said you get one or the other, DPS or sector segment NOT BOTH

I believe they are going to count the tray of multiples as sector segment again, ANYONE HERE ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?

According to the 2018 National Mail Count guide;

Sector/Segment

Credit as Sector / Segment Letters the smaller amount of DPS letter mail (by zone(s)) received when a route continually crosses between zones.

If multiple runs are received, only one run may be counted as DPS. Management will determine which run is DPS. Other runs may be counted as Sector / segment if they qualify.

--  Used to happen on Tuesdays following a Monday holiday and might still happen, mainly due to weather or plant problem(s).  In any case, manglement will select the smaller run as DPS -- except during count.
