Senior Sub Bumping Rights?

If aux route is either significantly reduced in hours or abolished and parceled out to build up regular routes after RRECS is implemented, does the senior sub have the right to bump a junior sub off another aux that lost less/remained intact?

I don't know if this specific issue is addressed in the contract--quick glance at the relevant Articles and I only see info on filling vacant auxiliary routes. I'd contact your DR for guidance.

I may be wrong but I believe if a rebuild happens all the routes are supposed to go up for bid again... I would guess during that process the same process of asking senior sub if they want the AUX route(s) or not would occur.. but you never know in this place

Unless the aux route is dissolved the rca would remain on that aux without another opening in the office. If the rt were consolidated, the rca could move to a open rca position in the office. If no open rca position exists then other measures come into play depending upon local dynamics. But, in general, you can't bump an rca off their primary because of seniority. The new contract allows for bidding outside of home office. This may come into play.

As far as i remember the only time routes go up for bid is when an encumbered regular route is consolidated then any route that got a piece of that route would be up for bid. This only applies to regulars not RCA's. If through a consolidation or elimination of any route there are now too many RCA's then the junior RCA is laid off and the RCA without a route gets that vacancy.

always understood that besides hours, a, reason to take the 5 - 1 , if routes consolidated or eliminated, you would have a place to land
