Sunday work question

If the post office is a hub for a couple of other offices aren't their subs also required to be on a list for mandatory work on Sunday?

My office does NOT run it correctly and I'm sure it's not the only one. My office lets each Spoke figure out who to send.

The way it's supposed to be is that the Hub and ALL Spokes are treated as ONE office. A volunteer list is supposed to circulate in every office when the RDWL sign up does. Then ALL volunteers are placed in alphabetical order ascending & the same with the non-volunteers. Then mgmt is to use the volunteers in alphabetical order (regardless of originating office) and then if all are working, the non-volunteer list comes in. Both lists are on a rotating basis.

Thank you for the answer what I kinda thought myself. My office just mandates our subs, a day before a lot of times. Do you know of where it would say this in the contract?

Article 30.2.P

P. Sunday Work
An office-wide list will be established for substitutes, rural
carrier associates, and rural carrier relief employees who
desire to work on Sunday. When there is a need to work
leave replacements on Sunday, the Employer may require a
part-time flexible rural carrier work prior to selecting qualified
employees from the list. The Employer will make every
reasonable effort to avoid requiring substitutes, RCAs, and
RCRs not on the list to work.

Sunday question for me too...

Some in our office receive EMA for mileage on sundays, others do not. I always wrote the mileage on there but they just ignored it. Others get it every week. I've been working there EVERY Sunday for 2 and a half years and never got it from this office

I have no reference but word of mouth says Amazon volunteers do not receive mileage and if you are a non volunteer you receive mileage.

Anytime you use your POV for work, EMA is to be paid regardless of what day of week it is. Now if there is an LLV available that mgmt wants you to take & you refuse, mgmt can then deny to pay EMA (it's your choice).

No one is using POV for Sunday amazon that I know of. My comment would be regarding being paid to drive to work at the PO that is doing the Sunday amazon.
