I have 643 box know vacant ,3 p.o box ,not get credit for what I carrier had the coverage doing count but my route evaluation keep lower ,I get the same mail ake some the route in stations but they route went up mine went down
Many carriers are wondering why their route evaluations lowered once again. Mostly, I believe it is because of the lowered % coverage, and carriers not utilizing Rrecs for EVERYTHING they can get out of it. Not to worry, then NRLCA has filed a step 4 grievance and it should be resolved within 4-5 years.
Here's what YOU can do:
Look at your 4241A & M. The highest number of minutes comes from WSS boxholders. You have a language barrier, use it. "OH ME SORRY, WSS No BOXHOLDER?" Even if you only had a boxholder and not a WSS, IF your manager even asks you about it, most won't or don't know/care.
If you can carry any mail/parcels to a door/CBU in more than 1 trip enter additional trip to door/dismount.
Do you talk to any of your customers? Ask them if they would like an Usps employee to call them about their shipping needs and enter a "Carrier Reach" in Rrecs scans. That's 5 minutes every time you enter that in your scanner, and you don't need a lead card if the customer says No!
Is there a previously delivered parcel in a customer's box when you need to deliver another one? Take both to the door and scan both "at door". Now you have an extra parcel delivered that day that you already were credited for delivering the day before.
If you see a customer outside while delivering a parcel to their box, honk and wave it at them then enter "delivered to the individual" which gives you door credit while taking very little time.
Do you put your parcels in order while NOT loading? Stop that. Start load, esc, then enter load truck. Now you can place your parcels (in order) directly into your vehicle while getting load time for it.
Only talk to management, do edit book/mapping work, case work, or anything else you can think of during EOS time.
Doing these things you could easily raise your evaluation by 1-3 hours, but this will only partially help by the next mini count, but fully help the next YEAR!
