Trip to door and authorized dismount.

I’m being told not to use the authorized dismount scan for my hardship because I’m already getting paid the footage automatically because the address is listed as a hardship in my edit book. Is this correct? The way I thought rreccs worked is by giving a scan for everything I’m doing. So when I walk mail to the door at this address I would use authorized dismount and put in 1 trip. Told not to do that anymore. Who’s right?

Another question, so when I have a pickup at the door I would enter 1 trip under door misc. Am told that is the wrong scan to begin with and am already paid to pick it up as the scanner sees me walking to the door and scanning the pickup at the door so no need to enter trip to door. Is this correct?

What if have to get out to get a pickup at the mailbox but it’s in tubs and I have to get out of my vehicle to get them?

What I don’t get is that somehow the we don’t have to worry or enter anything as trip to door if it is our first trip even when I’m dropping off a parcel with no scan, so why can’t the scanner automatically see I’m going a 2nd or 3rd time? It is inconsistent to me..

Authdismount and Trip2door are for multiple trips. You are automatically credited for one trip and don't need to do a scan. If you do multiple trips, do the scan and put in total trips(including the first one).

Doormisc is for bringing mail to the door. Pickups should be treated like parcel deliveries and use Trip2door if necessary. If you have a pickup request form, it's supposed to credit you with going to the door. I haven't seen anything regarding pickups without a form, though, so it's anyone's guess for those.

You can't trust the scanner gps. I've had it say I delivered a package to the middle of a yard when I had put it in the box. Much better that we input those numbers instead of relying on that. Think of the location you enter as delivered to as your first Trip2door entry. It tells the system that you went to the door. Trip2door tells it that you went back more than that one time. Also, you should be entering an Unscanparcel scan if you deliver a parcel without a barcode to the door.

#1 If the box is mapped correctly and marked correctly in mapping, you should be getting the footage for it. If it is a hardship with walking, it should be mapped as dismount since you have to get out and walk the mail up there.

#2 That's one of the million dollar questions I still have with RRECS. To answer the first part, most likely they are claiming you need to trips2door. In reality trips2door and doormisc are basically the same thing (must have been on telecon). Trips2door is more appropriate because you are scanning things. DOORMISC was more meant for hold mails and others.

They claim you get but I asked around and have heard different things. The issue is this to me, they claim CARRIERPU gives you footage, but as I told people, are we sure since THERE IS AN OPTION TO PICK UP IN MAILBOX? You are going to tell me that USPS would give front door for every package pick up. I don't believe it.

The tubs by mailbox, my solution to that would be take a photo and show management that you have to get out of the vehicle to get them. If they fight back, get union involved. It's pretty obvious that you have to get out if on the ground by the mailbox.

I honestly think NO-ONE has the answers FOR SURE to these and many other questions regarding RRECS-I have asked so many and read and read and every single time it is a DIFFERENT answer. Very sad when it is the rural crafts pay.
