Unsupervised Offices Part 2

What’s marked on a piece of paper is not what determines if you are a withdrawal office. You either know that you are or not and if it’s not right on the piece of paper you file a dispute. There is a box on the Office Walk Distance that you make sure your pm circles correctly during the mms.
I know that I’ve always got my flats and parcels and never allowed to get my dps. Honestly, I never even knew that there was such a thing as a withdrawal office until I got sick of waiting on the clerk everyday and called the union steward. He advised me to look on the 4241a which states that my office is a withdrawal but pm says I’m not allowed to get dps because it comes in cages under parcels and I would be in the clerks way

you are allowed to get dps, but hey man, follow directions.

then collect that sweet sweet 8127 time. :)

@maillady97 - please go read the comprehensive guide. this is all covered in there.

short story: if your 4241A has Y on it, then you are withdrawal.

don't make it more complicated than it is.

call your DR and have him/her straighten out your management.
I am not trying to make anything more complicated but I can’t believe how any experienced postal worker answers saying just look at the 4241A and if it has a Y that is the be all end all. How did that Y get to be there. If somebody claimed they were underpaid would you say to just look on the paystub whatever it states is the amount you were supposed to be paid. No all of these forms get submitted by negligent nimrod management. I guarantee if you point blanked asked pms and sups if they are a withdrawal office most would fail because they don’t even know what it means. They’d probably say I’ll call my bff and get back to you.

You nailed that one lol that is exactly what my pm said and what he says most of the time. Sad thing about that is the bff doesn’t know anything either. That’s why I’ve been trying to find out from other resources but I have to make sure the information I get is accurate. Wish we had a rural carrier rule book, that would help out a lot 🤪

i can't say i disagree with you re: management.

however, if one keeps up with his/her evaluation, to include keeping an eagle eye on all forms before during and after MMS, said worker should know that a Y means withdrawal. said worker should also know to begin with if his/her office is a withdrawal office.

Y means more dough, so it pays to be knowledgeable.
