Using AL on my Aux?

I recently had a "rare" week where I didn't work much outside my home office, and so my actual work hours for that week fell around 29 hours. I asked my current OIC (we are between PM's at the moment) if I could use 10 hours of my AL to bring my hours for that week up closer to 40. She tried putting it in, but told me she was unable to, and that it was most likely due to me working everyday on my Aux (6-0) that week. So, does anyone know if this is correct? I was under the impression that the new contract allowed all RCA's, even Aux carriers, to use AL for any given week if their actual work hours fell below 40.

There would be no way for management to put that in; it'd be two conflicting codes
Even if they could i don't think they'd have any proper way to do so.

This will be an option in a couple of weeks but does not apply at this time. RCAs should be earning AL starting next weekend (6-month mark) which is when the option to use in hourly increments up to the 40 hour mark will also be effective.

I think you can do it now. Tell your supervisor to log into RMSS and click on RCA/PTF leave. There’s an option to enter daily amounts of leave there. They’ll just have to enter the difference in the amount of hours you’re using versus what you worked each day. I haven’t seen if it can be done if an RCA worked hours for the day yet. I’d be interested to see if it can.

Thanks Twingrlie. I'll ask my OIC about that.
