Manager deletes any hours that would be classified as overtime to stay under the upper management radar. Manager eventually gets caught, says "My bad." I did say to her the package volume for many has gone through the roof, but no extra compensation.

I'm thankful she brought some light on the ripoff, but not much about rural carriers. No mention our union would not speak to her, etc.
From reading the comments below the article, the public thinks we're crybabies and are grossly overpaid. Let's see what they think when they're shit doesn't get delivered, when there's only a few rural carriers left per office.

when i started, we weren't paid to take parcels to the door or gas for that matter... then about decades ago the union got us another 10 seconds per, and were so excited, they for got to ask about gas money...

Seems like we are headed in that direction again. Backward, except if it keeps rolling back I don't believe too many will be left to deliver. Remember the old saying if you don't like your job go work at Mcdonald's if I could foresee the future I would have been all over that.
