USPS to reinstate pre-employment drug tests

To each their own. You could be a raging alchy and that is a okay but the big bad Marijuana?! Straight to the gulag lol. Personally know people who smoke and are better employees than some of their straight edged brethren. It is personal predisposition that determines the quality of work more so than the intoxicants one chooses to partake in. Initial drug screenings are one thing. Prove that you want the job by not smoking for a month. It isn't hard to do. Randomized testing is control. People cry about having to answer your cell phone because they don't pay for it but pissing in a cup to prove to someone you aren't doing something they disapprove of in your own time? Can't wait to sign that list eh?

I guess it's different times and circumstances nowadays... back in the day, I saw pretty good RCAs let go for next to no good reason... and nowadays the PO is happy to just get a warm breathing body... I always think of that as my mail is usually late or doesn't match what informed delivery says, etc., etc... sorta like when I go to the drive thru window at a fast food place... I always say to my wife, I'm glad I don't have to do that job, and I guess you really can't get the best people for those type wages... sadly, that's about where the USPS has fallen to... 🤷‍♂️👉🤯

I saw a guy talking to the judge in court trying to defend his DUI by saying the reason he blew like a .187 was not due to the 40 that he consumed while waiting at the drive-thru at Taco H€ll when a cop showed up but from partying the night before in his own home. He pleaded “your Honor, you know that alcohol stays in your blood up to 24 hrs later”. The look on the judge’s face was priceless.

The only 1st hand example I can recall is that we had a Meth head in my office for a period of time... so I guess it happens... 🤷‍♂️👉😵‍💫🤯
