Volume factor changing with no mail count

So my route is a 37A route(780 boxes 14 miles), my volume factor is .75 (last count was before we got amazon and had newer apartments) I have had a few adjustments since last count giving me more boxes. Those boxes came over at the previous routes volume factor, 1.36 & 1.48, district management is wanting to now change those previous adjustments volume factor without a count. I was going to receive an adjustment bumping me to a 42H but because of this I would be adding 4 miles and 85 boxes a day and only bump up to a 39A. Is there a grievance in this? My Pm is trying to help me out, but she is fairly new and this is only her second time to adjust a route.

Check to make sure your 4003 was updated properly by management and I would run the route to make sure the mileage is right. Go through each address on your edit book and make sure they’re all in there and they’re open and not showing a C.

Here is a worksheet to perhaps help you understand how a volume factor is determined. You basically take all the "fixed" items and their time allowances and deduct all that time from the standard hours and what you are left with is your volume factor. The fixed items are all the things that are constant and standard and exact every day / week. Some examples are dismount distance, scanner set up time, stamp stock time, number of boxes, miles, etc.

Those boxes keep that volume factor, and will not change till a count is preformed.

I have had a few adjustments since last count giving me more boxes. Those boxes came over at the previous routes volume factor, 1.36 & 1.48,

Also those boxes volume factor has to stay the same till a count is preformed. They cannot change.

district management is wanting to now change those previous adjustments volume factor without a count.

District cannot change volume factor with our current contract without a count.

Which it could be, and if so your rt becomes a standard rt, and not an Aux rt anymore.

So if you look at this excel file they use, you see in the middle of the sheet the other rts have to stay the same Vol Factor. This Interim form is what they use to do rt adjustments. Now you will have to fill out the rest of the info to get the right number for your rt. This is very rough numbers I inputted, so you have to be correct with the numbers.

I adjust rts a lot, not many people want to learn how to do it correctly. So hope this helps.

Your PM can log into RMSS and be able to give you the rest of the numbers. The only number not in RMSS is Other Suitable Allowance. But that should be on your last count sheet.

And are these boxes Regular Boxes or Central Boxes? Makes a huge difference.
