Yes, in the comment section of your 4240 (time sheet). Your manager should keep an "O" log book with all O time noted there for each regular carrier. Rca's/Ptf's get paid on a green card instead of collecting O hours.
When switching routes, resigning, or retiring any accumulated O hours are paid out with a day off or day's wage to clear the O log book.

Yeah , give the OP confidence to count on management to keep up with it. He best go make a copy of the 4240 after he writes time in comments section and keep that in a safe for eternity.

Our 4240's are documents that are kept for 7 years. It should be safe to write any O time on there. As always keep your own verification method because every USPS manager will "loose" anything they don't want to keep.

2 years is the requirement for keeping the 4240s as well many other documents. It is not always “safe” to depend on mgmt to retain any documents as loss can happen at any time. We’ve seen too many post offices damaged or destroyed by extreme weather events.
Keep a running tally of O-Time for yourself with details as to date, time, and what the cause was.

Oops 7 years is for taxes 2 years for 4240's
