What do you run for 10 plys?

I picked up a full set of 16s so I can finally get real 10 plys for my xj! What is a long lasting, yet not crazy expensive 10 ply that comes in 225/75 r16?

30x10.5's....but I wouldnt, your suspension will start to brake down...upper/lower a-arms, wheel bearings etc. I always ran 6 plys, and at about 32-35 pounds so tires had a little give on rocks, gravel, and potholes. Also no skimping on shocks, get the best they got...

Those potholes will destroy your front end if you put heavier ply on it...but I'm sure you will figure it out. Best of luck my friend. 🤠🤠🤠

One. Straight axle jeep. Two, for YEARS I've asked everyone for what they run. 10 ply. Every single time. 95% of carriers say 10 ply or nothing. I buy a set of 16 inch wheels so I can get 10 plys finally, 1st answer, get six plys. I hate the internet.

Firestone trans force AT2 on my ranger. Got them from Firestone with full tire warranty. They fix any flats for free, and pro rate price for new tires. if i, and I never will get full mileage by warranty. I run pressure wise no where near max usually closer to 32-34 pending on road conditions day prior or expected forecast.

If anyone goes that route read the fine print. I have to rotate and balance etc every xxxx amount of miles. Under is fine over and you lose the warranty.

I always ran master craft 10 ply’s they are reasonably priced and I got great mileage out of them on my hundred mile rural route.

To combat the rise in price of Yokohama, our local small town guy has also been selling Falken tires. These are called Wildpeak A/T 10 ply. I've been satisfied. Nothing can withstand constant gravel, but these have fared about as well as the Yokohamas.

From experience mastercraft is very reasonable and good quality tire. That is usually what my dad reommends people to put on daily car for price and quality.

I have a F150 4x4 and run A/T 10-ply. I have bought brand name and off brand (Chinese). I seem to have to replace them every year (July / August) no matter what the brand is (not that I've tried every one). Also, I make sure they are rated for at least 50k. I don't hot rod or do anything unnecessary except 4 wheel on my dirt roads when needed. If someone has a suggestion I would love to hear it. It gets expensive. Last set are a Chinese knock-off and still cost me $950.

I ended up buying Mastercraft stratus AP. For 225/75 r16s it was right at 500 for all 4 on Amazon. I was getting about 20k miles out of a set Yokohamas, even if I get the same amount of miles I'll be net ahead because Yokos are expensive. I could only get about 12k out of Chinese 6 plys.
