If a route is getting too large, so they cut it, who is given that chunk of the route? My route is the lowest at a 40k, but someone else who has seniority is claiming she would get it even though her route is a 45k. Thanks in advance!

They should take into count the volume from the section being cut. Look at 2080 hrs, then whatever is closest to the rt being cut. If the rt is a 47k then 4 hrs will be cut from the rt. It could go the the 45k rt, but then they could take some territory from that rt and give to your rt. but they have to keep the rt at 45k. There is too much involved to just say it should go to one rt. There are a lot of aspects that have to make sense. Unless you have a lazy supervisor that just takes from one rt and gives to another without looking at future impacts.
she shouldn’t get it at 45k, you shouldn’t be more than a 47k otherwise you get cut back to a 43k

don’t quote me on that. Every office has its own rules. I would highly recommend getting familiar with P603 - it’s your bff

-- Most likely, the route closest to the route which is being cut.

-- If the 45K route is nowhere near the route being cut, too bad.

-- If manglement is cutting the growth route by 2 hours plus, an AUX could be created. ( 2 hour minimum )

first choice would be auxiliary route. then maybe a j route closest to cut route.

If there's a future with rrecs, who is to say a good percentage of routes aren't changed after mapping is complete, squaring up may be a priority. Territory may change on a lot of routes. Keep in mind that the routes aren't yours or mine, they are the postal service's and they will make decisions with no disregard of you or me.
It's complicated to give an answer that would provide 100% certainty. So many variables and opinions that will not be the same as the individuals making the decision. This question should not really be in the question category as there's too many ways to answer with no real answer.

Yes, the system will take volume from neighborhoods and create routes. I was told this earlier this year after getting RRECS Training for input and mapping. This will all be automated, which I don't know if I trust automation yet. Just look at Amazon Sundays!
