Why is it Reps don't call back?

There aren't enough reps and they are all over burdened. Run for local steward.

FWIW, I'm a rep, we're directed to return calls within 24 hours.

Maybe more would become station stewards if there was an incentive to the job like no union dues, why would anyone want to do a job and not get paid, after all we give way to much free work at this job as is.

Any Steward work I do from home gets listed on my Z-day tracking sheet. If mgmt ever decides that they won’t honor that time, I’ll be doing it in their office as the breakroom is too public & what used to be a confer room is no longer. My mgmt doesn’t want to give assistance if possible so they honor whatever time I list.

Not everyone is as fortunate as you, I know of two station stewards who quit because their District rep told them he never claimed time and did it all on his own time, he also expected them to do the same. Not to mention a few on this topic has stated the same.

I have had a few greivences in for a while and when I asked about them I was told that the steward is very busy they are doing a route also which I understand and was also told that they prioritize if so someone is not working for a reason they are trying to get them back to work first probably the best answer they could have given me I can't argue with that just would like to be in the loop of what is going on with mine guess I can assume they are still busy but don't want them to be forgotten about
