Working in other offices and seniority

Here's the situation. Recently, my PM and I have gone to war. Most recently, she has sent an email out to most, if not all, of the other supervisors/PMs in the area saying to not work me because I'm in some sort of trouble. She went on to detail the situation, which I won't really get into here, for everyone. She's said that I face termination and all that. I had a PDI over the situation (with rep present, of course) almost 3 weeks ago and have not heard a thing since. Neither has my rep. So obviously, they're not planning on terminating me.

So here's the question, since I'm senior sub, can she send others to work in other offices and completely skip me? Or do I have some sort of recourse here? Rep doesn't think so, but it just doesn't sound right to me.

--  Have you gotten a hold of the email your PM sent to surrounding offices?

--  No word on the outcome of the PDI three weeks after?  Time for the ADR to get on the phone -- daily!  Or request permission to show up for a face-to-face with the PM.

--  I had felt that the PDI proceedings were supposed to be, for a lack of another word -- confidential, at least until a final decision had been made.  Anyone??

--  Why is your PM sending other RCA's to work in other offices?  APO - RMPO situation?

--  Or are other RCA's farming themselves out to surrounding offices?

--  If, in fact, you are not terminated, you might consider hiring a lawyer for a "defamation of character" law suit.

--  Has manglement in other offices that you have worked at bothered to call you for your side of the story?

--  Does your PM know you are a moderator here?

You know where you could possibly pick up some hours, its obviously not that convenient for you, and of course that person is still in charge.  The large PO right near me, can always use help, I unfortunately do not know any of the mgt there anymore.

IMO, its none of these other peoples business, what is going on with you.  I would guess, at this point the termination is BS.  Sounds like you have a vindicative BITCH.   I dont think seniority has any bearing on the Bitch sending ppl over you.

Good Luck with your situation !

A possible way of speeding the results up is...why not casually ask you REP for the EAP# because you are suffering from stress from this Bully of a PM citing their past actions towards you, and because this issue has dragged on so long.

Is there a way you can cite this PM is creating a unpleasant/hostile work environment for other carriers too? Or single them out only at you?

The USPS wants a harmonious work environment. Consider what emphasis they put on the Postal Pulse results for their office.

Faceindawind et al -- "The USPS wants a harmonious work environment. "

--  Sorry to say but that phrasing has been eliminated from Section 665.16 - Behavior and Personal Habits - of recent ELM's.

--  The last sentence used to be:  Employees are expected to maintain harmonious working relationships and not to do anything that would contribute to an unpleasant working environment.  ( I believe that last appeared in ELM 39 )

Seniority only plays a part when talking about bidding & route coverage in a subs primary office. It has no bearing when farming out work or when "other duties" are being dished out.

As to this PMs work ethics, they are creating a hostile environment.

--  Have you gotten a hold of the email your PM sent to surrounding offices?  --> I wish. The friends that I have that confirmed the existence of such an email won't go public with that info because they don't want to be caught up in a war with my PM.

--  No word on the outcome of the PDI three weeks after?  Time for the ADR to get on the phone -- daily!  Or request permission to show up for a face-to-face with the PM.  --> ADR is directly handling my case. She says it's better to leave it alone in case they do go for termination or try to put my on Emergency Placement (suspension pending outcome) so she can argue that it obviously wasn't important at the time so why would it be now?

--  I had felt that the PDI proceedings were supposed to be, for a lack of another word -- confidential, at least until a final decision had been made.  Anyone?? --> I thought so too but my PM couldn't keep a secret if her life depended on it.

--  Why is your PM sending other RCA's to work in other offices?  APO - RMPO situation? -- Not an APO/RMPO situation. We are an APO over a window service only office (ironically located entirely in the territory of a neighboring office - I don't get that one either).

--  Or are other RCA's farming themselves out to surrounding offices? They're farming themselves out but those sups are calling/emailing my PM and clearing it with her before they schedule anyone.

--  If, in fact, you are not terminated, you might consider hiring a lawyer for a "defamation of character" law suit. --> I'd rather not. I just want to go in, case and pull, and hit the damn street. I'm sick and tired of all of the extra BS that comes with such a seemingly simple job. There's too much politicking here.

--  Has manglement in other offices that you have worked at bothered to call you for your side of the story? --> They don't want to know. I've told them exactly what's what and have been very up front about it. Something tells me that I'll get back to working 5 and 6 day weeks after count is over. God I hope so at least.

--  Does your PM know you are a moderator here?     --> Not that I'm aware of. She's got her head wedged way too far up the POOM's [behind] to notice anything like that.</blockquote>

Idk about that. I'm kind of thinking about firing back with a grievance or two and an EEO complaint. That'll put her on her heels. But after all of this dust settles.
