VERA Rumors

We need to loose a lot of management.

However, Keep in mind this is the easy part.

Most managers are jerks with no skills to offer the Postal Service or us.

There are exceptions that are able and have experience to offer. My fear is that they will be the first to go. These few are likely the most able group to turn the Postal Service around. They are the eyes and ears that may let a competent leadership know what problems need to be solved first and how to solve them.

I am left wondering how may the good be seperated from the worthless by people that do not have direct contact with them?

Lots of competent ones have already left from frustration of dealing with idiots and busy reports to fund idiots jobs.

I had a competent manager that was driven out by the constant browbeating taking place on the weekly telecons that did nothing but subject the chosen unlucky PM to ridicule over some report or scan or other make-work function that had not been done to the POOMs liking. All POOMs could be removed. In over 30 years each successive one is worse at how to manage people than the one before and more incompetent.
