Regarding inverted DPS mail, I had an extremely large amount that day, so it was approximately two-thirds of a tubful. I thought we were supposed to pull any inverted DPS out in order to have it counted under the mini mail survey.*Why tubs of Inverteds? We are to only keep track of them, not actually pull them from the DPS.
* Certs in the DPS do not need an AAU scan. We simply deliver them if it’s correctly placed in the DPS with the Line of Travel. We are credited upon delivery regardless of an AAU. The “Lookahead” is simply a tool to see what is or could be out for delivery for that day. It has nothing to do with RRECS or our eval.
I do get questioned on my EOS but I usually need to hit the Restroom when I get in & my case is quite far from everything so a lot of walking to drop outgoing, keys, gather hamper to unload, find mgmt to give #s, & separate into 3M area. Then there’s the BoxOverflows that I have to sort through along with the DPS Pulls. I refuse to waste time with being organized on the street. I normally work into 2 tubs at CBUs the items that I cannot deliver: 3M, Fwd, Utf, etc in one & UBBM in the other. For now… DPS UBBM goes into the 3M tub with a mark on it.
I didn’t know about that with the certified mail. Thanks. I was just concerned about not getting RECCS credit for it. But I had been told by clerks in the past that it needs to be scanned in the office (AAU) before delivery.
Yeah, with the EOS, I search for a trolley or hamper to unload, sometimes I use the restroom, shifted all my morning office work, like markups, to EOS, process all the rejected mail I picked up from mailboxes, update my case label names, etc. By the way, what is BoxOverflows?
I just hope they don’t spring a PDI on me without giving me the option of having my union representative beside me, like they did the last time.
