Arbitration ruled HAD TO BE TRANSPARENT OF ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED TO EVERY CARRIER. Our union has obviously ignored them rules from the very start and we haven't raised enough #@// about it so they choose not to worry about it. So since rrecs hasn't been done right from the start its to late now for me to ever have trust in the system. Just put me on the clock will be the only way I trust anymore.I agree with you. The thing is. We all know this management tool will absolutely be provided to the supervisors if we go hourly. Why in the world are they incapable of supplying this type of tool currently? I can't, in any way shape or form validate my current daily times to management or myself. We are working blind to any expectation of time standard daily. HOW freaking fair is that to a group.of individuals that are having future compensation pay based off of time standards of their volume and performance. If the union would fight for anything, that component is the absolute most important. Our future pay evaluation is one big guessing game. We should have the transparency daily to understand how the current volume is fluctuating toward out future compensation. The lack of this is the main reason I want hourly. I am tired of over performing to receive the same pay if I underperformed. Why run like an idiot flying through volumes daily when the pay just might be the same if I took my time and performed without stress. The sad thing is, I don't understand what a normal pace is and they won't help me by providing work/time expectations for my daily volumes. It isn't fair.
You have the first speed right, but my slowest speed would still smoke a city carrier.Let me guess the 2 speeds. Average and city carrier dragging feet slow on super light day are the 2 speeds.
last week my route lost Amazon. I went from going over eval every week to being 9 hrs under eval. This mail survey I will likely go up. Since I finally have 1 full yr with Amazon. But my next eval will plummet.HOW freaking fair is that to a group.of individuals that are having future compensation pay based off of time standards of their volume and performance. Amazon comes and goes seen it in other offices. Honestly pick a random number of to different door deliveries daily. Stick to that number regardless, above is awesome never below.last week my route lost Amazon. I went from going over eval every week to being 9 hrs under eval. This mail survey I will likely go up. I would love to have a guaranteed 8hrs work day, but in small offices like mine going hourly would be nearly impossible…
I have one FT route, a small 14 hr AUX and a highway contract. Unless they pull other small offices together. How would they give us a 8 hrs work day ?
Next spring (if I’m still here) I will request the Aux to be merged back into the K route (likely a J by spring). Who knows if that will be approved, and we don’t have an RCA so I’ll still be working 6 days a week. . .
You make a good point about rural offices not having enough volume for an 8 hr guarantee. I view Rrecs as a way to have us just floating along with volume. We are set up to loose relief days in order to keep us working as full time employees (unlike city that has the 8 hr guarantee) If it gets too low then routes become aux. I just want us to be made aware what the weekly evaluation is so we have a working knowledge of the time/pay we are dealing with. If I lost Amazon, my route would plummet south too. Low k, maybe a j, who knows. Wouldn't it be great to see those decreased volumes start showing up in a weekly eval so we are prepared. Even if it's 2 weeks behind, just something to help us get an idea what to expect.I would love to have a guaranteed 8hrs work day, but in small offices like mine going hourly would be nearly impossible…
We all are SUPPOSED to be able to see the CWE ( current weekly evaluation ) . From The RRECS Guide ;You make a good point about rural offices not having enough volume for an 8 hr guarantee. What number do you feel is ideal to keep it a K ?Amazon comes and goes seen it in other offices. Honestly pick a random number of to different door deliveries daily. Stick to that number regardless, above is awesome never below.

Your DPM gives you time, figure in average flat, raw, dps timeas well. That’s your base line, then see if any misc time applies daily, then any auth dismount. Once you have those numbers decide what you want hours wise and just average 2 min per separate parcel to door. What number do you feel is ideal to keep it a K ?
Then we shouldn't be allowed to use an incomplete program! Our cost is more valuable! JsThey don't have the tool.
It's obvious, as they can't provide us volume numbers now for our evaluation check vs what we actually get.
Big problem. But they won't have it. Far too costly.
I don't know about this.Term limits for all
Yeah, this next contract will be the one that "helps" those on the fences make a decision. I say "fences" because there are at least two fences. There is the fence that members are on and teetering on withdrawing their membership and then there is the fence where people are teetering on even staying with the PO.There's no transparency with our union. We hear what they want us to hear. Never the reality. If they did we'd all see the incompetence, the lack of push back to USPS management. We'd see all the times they gave into demands and accepted some insignificant alternative that really did nothing for members.
They don't fight for what's important to us because those things are opposed to what keeps management costs down for the post office
One of the union's top priorities has, and will be, the addition of more members. Part time is fine, just MORE who pay more dues.
Many unions started grass roots as real fighters for the employees they represented, but morphed into an entity unto itself where it became servant to themselves instead of the membership. I fear this is what's happened to ours too.
You can blame our union for that. Contractually they make it difficult to be put in a higher level position. I’m a PTF, was injured 1/31, been home ever since. A CCA was injured at the same time, she was put in temporarily 204B position while I’m sitting home.. ALL of USPS senior management is from the city side, and knows only that craft. They cater to city as they're the largest and most visible by far.
There was already a movement to decertify the union. Look up the facebook group “Declutter the NRLCA”. This was last I could find on talks with the Teamsters from last year….I have never witnessed a more corrupt organization in my life, between the post office and the unions that represent us, they are not doing their job. I don’t get it every time we have a negotiation or contract. We lose money and we’re already not getting paid enough.. I’m done with it. I am currently talking with the Teamster Union and trying to figure out where we go next but this crap has to end.
When I went through the academy as an rca, the union rep coerced everyone to join the union right then and there. But there was 1 person who wouldn't sign up. The rca wanted to wait to see if he even liked the job. That rep went sour on him immediately. The cold shoulder was like an iceberg. The rca even tried to ask a question and the union rep just ignored him. There's no transparency with our union. We hear what they want us to hear. Never the reality.
