Overtime over for regulars?

What is everyone's office like right now with regards to overtime and staffing? In my office it has been over for the past few weeks, lots of new RCAs and they are not allowing regulars to help or ever work days off any more. Is this a nationwide thing?

The RCAs and PTFs are working crazy hours and seem pretty burnt out, but I guess the economy is such a dumpster fire now that nobody seems willing to quit like they were a couple years ago.

Still plenty of people walking the streets in their pajamas, so things can't be too bad. I am happy for you, if your office has a lot of subs.

We continue to work most of our relief days and there is usually a route or two open every day. Regulars still carrying those routes. So far, anyway. City side can't go into penalty anymore at our office and management has to ask District for approval of clerk overtime. So the crackdown seems to be on non-rurals for now where I am. KSMO.

No OT for Regulars unless it's an emergency. Don't worry, subs are still quitting... :ROFLMAO: People still don't like being treated like garbage for what USPS pays.

4 regulars on K routes in our office wait for trucks DAILY & have been accruing 3-4 hours of overtime each day just for sitting on their phones waiting for a vehicle. This has been happening daily for 6 months, management does not care to find a solution and we keep losing another truck probably bi-weekly due to wear and tear, as these vehicles have been used and abused on multiple routes daily.

To answer your question. they are hemorrhaging $$ in the thousands in our singular office daily on overtime because they're unable to provide vehicles.

District for our offices says NO to any overtime for regular carriers. OK for RCA's in situations with no other alternatives. NO OT for clerks, ever.

We are marginally staffed. District directs management to throw parcels or carry routes on rural side to avoid overtime for regulars. City routes are so freaking padded they don't have those issues, except some mandatories for holidays or an extended AL.
