according to this link's excel sheet it does seem to get counted, alongside counting uncounted pieces so they know something i guess"Everything was counted at the plant" yeah sure it was.
Don't worry, the money the post office saves on rural carriers can now be used to pay for all the city carrier overtime.
Agreed! Our carriers do not take it seriously. 6% of data collected isn't the same as 6% time. Every letter tallied during MMS adds up. With evaluated (flat rate) pay that can multiply over pay period to be a substantial sum as you illustrated.yes, ours has been awful too.
i wish ppl would back off the 6% nonsense.
it only takes a few seconds for an evaluation to go down (or up, if you are a pollyanna).
6% of $45,000 is $2700. $225 a month. that's a week's worth of groceries for a family of 4.
and that's the way the union needs to think, not "only 6%".

If you’re talking about the “Grow as you go” where your evaluation can change monthly, that’s Contract that has finally been implemented. See Article 9.2.C.10We just had a carrier blindsided by an hour loss mid count from the new MOU or whatever the NRLCA agreed to about mapping/edit books.
i agree that every piece and time counts. But the $2700/yr and $225 /month is if one got a big zero for any raw mail, mms, extra time or whatever other number is in the 6%. so it's a portion of the 6% that we are fighting for .yes, ours has been awful too.

BUT that slim margin CAN still cause a jump between route pay on pay schedule. But difference of pay between evals is $1400/yr and $120 /month at $45,000/yr salary. At Step 12 on Table 2 for 43K $ 90,000 salary, the difference is closer to the $3,000 /yr and $250/mo.
i doubt the 6% MMS data can cause route to jump 2 route evals levels.
my 48K(~52K really) route was cut last yr , luckily to just a 44k. We lost most of our Amazon just b4 that. So this mail count is first unfrozen MMS . So i am not sure where my route will fall. We did get UPS back earlier this yr. which will help. I know the load and EOS time during the yr will effect my eval way more than the <1% the MMS may effect it.
