I do know we need a different union but we aren't private we are a branch of the government non profit at that, unlike most others. I also know we have nothing left to negotiate with that's another huge problem. Part of me says ok wouldn't matter who represented us at this point. Then the other part says if we bring in outsiders they would have to learn from scratch how our stuff works which takes time. Time we don't have. I wanted to do this 15 years ago but no way others didn't want to hear it! So now I really think it's to late for either option. My personal goal now is to just find a way out asap. I've been fighting for years with no avail I'm just gonna pass it on and wish yall good luck.
I'm eyeballing the exit pretty hard at this point as well..... my only regret about NRLCA getting the axe would be, maybe not being able to go to that NRLCA sponsored golf scramble as a retiree.... js.... lots of retirees may be disappointed at the loss of these annual shindigs.... 🤔 🤷‍♂️

Damn straight.... I think TEAMSTERS will SHOW US THE $$$$$ MONEY!!!!!! They certainly have UPS.... js.... brothers in brown are hauling down $170K now.... wth..... SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!! 🤔 🤷‍♂️🤑😎🤩🥳
So the teamsters will go to the negotiating table with Usps negotiators and demand $170k, then after the Usps people have a hernia from all their laughter, they’ll say No. Then we end up in arbitration. Aren’t you the guy who despises arbitration?

For starters you are spreading misinformation, it is not a salary of $170,000 a year. It is an average of $49 per hour or $102,000 per year for a 40 hour work week . Also air conditioned vehicles and reduced management harassment are part of the contract. I see no reason why a similar deal could not be reached for rural carriers.

It was mr. DB who I was responding to who said the boys in brown were pulling down $170k. I agree with you that it’s misinformation and you are correct about their pay.
Is it possible for us? Absolutely not. UPS makes a huge profit and we’re broke as a government agency destined to go the way of Amtrak with periodic bailouts from Congress every 10-15 years.
Also if you read their deal it says air conditioning in all ‘new’ UPS vehicles, no retrofitting.
The Usps will have air conditioning in all the new ngdv’s over the next 3-4 years and it will probably take at least 10-15 before UPS replaces all their old vehicles with air conditioned ones.

I only think arbitration is bad if you go in with a union like NRLCA that has a LONG history of losing our @$$es for us at arbitrations.... if the union is competent and capable of arguing and winning at arbitration (as they should be) then it doesn't have to be a bad thing..... NALC always claims they know how to argue and win at arbitrations, and history has shown they are better at it than the NRLCA.... 🤔 🤷‍♂️🧐

Yeah, check the headlines.... that's the big news everybody seems to be reporting.... $170k..... I didn't just invent it..... 🤔 🤷‍♂️🧐

Well, how do you quantify "reduced mgmt harassment" and the air con is for vehicles bought after 2023 which is already gonna happen with USPS incoming "electric" vehicles. Am I correct?

Electric vehicles that will more than likely go to city routes leaving a pool of LLV cadavers to keep the rurals going for another decade. And what do you think the range of the electrics would have been during the recent week of relentless heat? Furthermore the new delivery vehicles even in internal combustion form appears poorly suited for rural use anyway. UPS is getting 2 fan cooling systems and improved exhaust shielding to help reduce the temperature in the current box trucks. UPS management was also evidently being less that civil about forced overtime and relief days, sound familiar? Reduced management harassment isn’t hard to recognize and is not a quantitative issue but a qualitative one. One which is sorely needed at the PO, I’ve not even remotely become endeared to them.

LOL.... the former crying Amazombies are now RRECS & NRLCA lovers.... what a turn from the past several years.... 🤔 🤷‍♂️

It does say Salary and benefits. Just like when we get a letter stating our total salary and benefits every year. Some people think that means take home or gross pay and thats not the case. They also are out there until 9pm at night sometimes. Not me.

5 years. No counts. Amazon delivering their own parcels. Mail volume down. Of course routes will go down. In the words of "our" new union leader..."there are winners and losers"

The timing was horrific tho.... js.... as we hit 40 year highs on inflation and the price of everything going thru the roof, then BAM...., here's your $15K pay cut.... who wouldn't be pi$$ed off???? 🤔 🤷‍♂️👉:mad:
Hey, I actually agree with you there. If we had regular counts the past 5 years, then salaries would have declined slowly...allowing carriers to adjust their spending habits.
But let's be honest...this is America. Think I read that something like 80% of our workforce lives paycheck to paycheck. Losing $ sucks...but c'mon, how many of us are still beating eval?
