Did DACA codes change?

For the last year I’ve been paid DACA 5 when working my relief day.

Thursday my OIC said they changed the pay codes and OT for working my relief day is no longer DACA 5.

Is there an updated pay code chart?

I can only find this one

Solution
TACS uses 3 digit codes.

RMSS uses letters and numbers.

For example
TACS

RMSS DACA codes

DBDD72D0-8054-4E83-8647-3A5FA6BC9EED.jpeg

The new codes will let TACS and RMSS communicate better

An example…

DACA K & DACA J will both change to 100

I’ll post the full list later today.

You are probably ruining PM's budget for the year so they had to change the code.

As @Dominator if you haven't RWDL, you can't take 5.

As @oi veh. file a grievance if you signed the RWDL and they won't give it to you and ask for extra penalties if it happens again

As @Dominator and @ATCBigE have pointed out, you MAY have been paid improperly in the past IF you WERE NOT on the RDWL. Here it is from The Nat'l Agreement ;

f. Except as provided in item j., regular rural carriers
on the relief day work list who work the relief day
will select one of the following options:

(1) An X day (a day for working a prior relief
day) to be immediately scheduled by mutu-
al agreement between the carrier and the
Employer. The scheduled X day must be with-
in the next twelve (12) weeks. PS Form 3971
will be completed for the mutually agreed X
day and the scheduled X day will be given
the same consideration as approved annual
leave.
(2) Compensation at 50% of the carrier’s daily
rate of pay, in addition to receiving an X
day within twelve (12) weeks as sched-
uled by the Employer.
(3) Compensation at 150% of the carrier’s
daily rate of pay. The carrier will not
receive an X day

You notice that if you are on the list, YOU have the option on how to be compensated.
If you ARE NOT on the RDWL , there is this ;

g. Except as provided in item j. below, regular
rural carriers not on the relief day work list who
are required to work the relief day will receive
compensation at 50% of the carrier’s daily rate
of pay, in addition to receiving an X day within
twelve (12) weeks as scheduled by the Employer.

h. If a regular rural carrier works the relief day and
fails to complete the entire route, the carrier will
be compensated 150% of the carrier’s hourly rate
of pay for the actual number of hours worked.
i. The Employer will not allow a regular rural carrier
to work a relief day in accordance with their per-
sonal wishes when a qualified leave replacement
is available in the delivery unit.
j. Without recourse to Article 8.5, the Employer may
allow a regular rural carrier to work on his or her
relief day in order to grant the leave replacement
scheduled to serve the regular’s route, the day off,
provided:
(1) The leave replacement has submitted a writ-
ten request to be non-scheduled or to have
leave on the regular’s relief day;
(2) The regular rural carrier has signed the
request, thereby indicating agreement; and
(3) The regular rural carrier and the Employer
have agreed that compensation for work-
ing the relief day will only be an X day
to be immediately scheduled by mutual
agreement.
The scheduled X day must be within the next
twelve (12) weeks. PS Form 3971 will be com-
pleted for the mutually agreed X day and the
scheduled X day will be given the same consid-
eration as approved annual leave. A part-time
flexible rural carrier is not entitled to the route’s
evaluated hours for any day the Employer has
granted his or her request to be non-scheduled.

@Beanut, are you on the relief day work list? A prerequisite to receive a DACA 5 is that you must be on the RDWL.
Yes I signed the RDWL. I am the only FT route in the office and we don’t have a RCA.
It is impossible to get my K day or an X day without an RCA, I sign the RDWL last October.
I’m assuming that’s still good until this October.

It the perfect time for me to be getting DACA 5 as I have a super expensive home repair on the horizon. I want the 💰

Yes they are changing the DACA codes to three digit numbers and no longer using letters but the rates are still the same.
This is what she said, they changed the code to numbers.

I was just hoping I could find a chart with the #s because I always write DACA5 in the comments of my timesheet. I like to make sure there is no confusion about what I should be paid.

So if anyone knows the new pay codes, that’s what I’m looking for!

I doubt I’m killing the budget. I’m the only carrier. If I was killing the budget, would they be begging me to run the AUX for OT?

She said she was informed on Thursday the code changed from DACA 5 to numbers. So I won’t know if I’m getting paid correctly until the next Paycheck. I was hoping to find out the codes before that so I can get ahead of it.

But I will keep an eye on it.

It sounds like they've just bedazzled the DACA 5 button and gave it a new name.

Ask for a copy of your route's PS 1314 for the pay period in question. Management's input code that outputs the result of a DACA 5 may have changed, but it should still show a '5' in the appropriate "Days Assigned Carrier Absent" box of your PS 1314.

If there's no 5 in the box, I suggest you seek a correction. File immediately and contact your rep if you get any pushback.

I'm saw no announcement in the postal bulletin about any recent or upcoming amendment to F-21 regarding DACA codes.

Perhaps your management has a cheat sheet with whatever codes they're using, or could print a screenshot from their computer.

Yours is the first case I've heard of this code situation. Perhaps it's not yet wide-spread. 🤷‍♂️

this has been going on too long... when does prison time come into the conversation, not by us, but the union? it is by every standard theft, nothing less
I had to fight for my daca 5s when I became regular. Was an easy win I signed RDWL, it’s my choice district can pound sand. Far to many around my area regulars that is are not on RDWL and have always just gotten to choose what they want. I think district is doing what they can to enforce our own contract and see who will fight for the daca options. That’s my take at least, usps is not stupid they know many on rural side won’t fight. Why not make it cheaper on themselves, work gets done regardless.
