Everyone must pass LLV test ??

in this office they have been "voluntold" since about last spring.  No RCA wants to work Sunday here, so the volunteer list is a lost cause, and they are scheduled anyway, then bullied and threatened about having any excuses or call-offs.

When they return from a Sunday sentence we hear at length all that was wrong with the day's events.

this makes zero sense, but that is the post office in general.we were told that in our district that ANY and all new routes created from the count,as well as any vacancies from retirements were going to be posted as pov routes.they NEED  to take as many llvs back as possible  as there are no extras, and the amazon is killing the city side, thus the need for more trucks there.if anything i would say the big july surprise,at least in our district is that all of a sudden i may need to find a route vehicle. </blockquote>
Many of you already know that the NRLCA and The USPS had an MOU in which the USPS promised to put, I believe it was 16,000 LLV's on Rural Routes by a certain date.

Like the engineering study, that date agreed upon meant nothing to either side. Jeanette even wrote a letter to the PMG published in the NRLCA Magazine essentially saying No Sweat Missing The Deadline we'll be right here waiting patiently without a peep until you keep up your end of the bargain. Once the USPS "CLAIMED" they met the 16,000 vehicle threshold carriers with DPS Flats were no longer aloud to case them. (I kind of find it funny that the bargaining chip we held was being aloud to case DPS Flats which we weren't being paid to do... The NRLCA sort of endorsed a form of working off the clock in that case, don't you think?)

But I digress, surely the NRLCA knows the number of LLV verses POV routes that existed when they entered into the agreement/MOU.

Surely the NRLCA knows the number of LLV and POV routes today. They couldn't represent us without such basic information, right?

To the best of my recollection the accompanying story said The USPS has stated it met the 16,000 vehicle threshold, nothing about weather the NRLCA concurred or rejected the claim.  Fast forward to the present, when the USPS is now pulling LLV's off routes. Have we fallen below the threshold number that the additional 16,000 vehicles represented ?

Does it even matter, another promise/agreement broken... No Biggie

Just like the promise in the contract that "every effort will be made to ensure that no carrier is forced to work Sunday"

This was mentioned upthread by f Gump, but in case you missed it, there are no more LLVs.  I would imagine all RCAs receive LLV training so that they can run Amazon Sundays.  </blockquote>
I am going to give a college guess and say that in July we will get drop shipments from Target and Wal-Mart.

The PO most assuredly are relooking at all offices to find LLV’s. Example a city route with all walking. It appears there are two at the top in running for the NGDV (Next Generation Delivery Vehicle. AM General and Mahindra.
