Route was a 48k (69) hrs, route cut to a 44k with amazon coming in to area. Couldnt wait a mms to see how it would effect carriers. Now a 46h. Spent all my rca years (12) working saturdays, to now having to work saturdays all over again. Would gladly take on more to earn those days off again. Stuff taken off route made a new K route, so nothing to add back on. Got to love it!!

i feel bad for you as well.

however, always have been a K and been without a sub for 5 years.

have worked every saturday since, except for when i take leave.

which isn't often.

welcome to the we screw the employee every chance we get service.

I was a 44K, on the RDWL, worked as many Saturdays as I could, made that money. Built the route to a 48K through scans, on the RDWL, worked as many Saturdays as I could, made that money. Didn't want to get cut, brought the route to a 43K through scans, on the RDWL, worked as many Saturdays as I could, made that money. Now I came back a 42K/46J, opted for the J, on the RDWL, will work as many Saturdays as I can, gonna make that money. I'm still adjusting my scanning technique, for the six months after the 48K I had the sub doing zeros on every authorized dismount and I myself had cut back on that scan as well as some door deliveries. I went extreme because I was getting divorced and had to sink my 100K salary.
Moral of the story, try and control your route through scans (while we still can), not mail volume. Make sure your mapping and footage is 100%, and remember, TO THE DOOR. If you have a light parcel volume day, take most of it to the door. Working every Saturday on your route is different than when you were a sub. Its your route, take the time to befriend your customers. A nice little chat with Tom at 123 Fake Street may be the formula to get you through your day and relieve the stress. My customers are the only bright spot in my 20+ year career, oh, and the money I guess;)🤑💰

You can actually get time off ? I subbed for about 13 years, then regular for about 9, I didnt see much of a difference because I rarely had a sub. When I did have one, I treated that person like gold, it didn’t matter, mainly because of a$$ h$le mgt.

Help me understand what you mean by doing zeros on every authorized dismount. If you have mapped authorized dismount you receive that walking footage every day. If you enter 0 in additional authorized dismount it just means you made 1 trip and you still receive credit for the walking distance for that dismount.

Correct, but my authorized dismounts are sets of clusters, so I get 8 ,9 , or 10 plus addition trips per stop usually, and you don't really put "0" in the scanner, you just don't put any additional trips in there so all you get at a stop like this is "1".

You stated in post #4 you had the sub doing zeros so did you mean that you told them just don’t put any additional in the scanner? Also each time you have to exit the vehicle counts as just one dismounts whether you service 1 cluster or 100 the whole walking distance is measured and mapped as 1 authorized dismount.

I feel you, friend. I was a 48k last year before route adjustments at our office. They took off maybe 15 minutes of actual time which dropped me to a 44k. After this new rrecs adjustment, I’m a 41j….. there’s NO WAY my route is a J… I’m so flummoxed

What's "time off?"

As RCA I worked every day but the days post office was closed. For years. Hiring freeze, wage freeze. Me and two other RCA's. Made huge money but would trade for a rest any time. Now just working half my days off as regular still seems like a vacation.

You are a TOOL to management to get what THEY need done to keep their jobs or bonuses. Most care more about the drop of oil in the public street than about you.

I love it when the Postmaster has a stand up and talks about us as being a family.

Well, when you do that does your moron like mine enter LWOP for you and then when you have a confirmation number and didn’t get a disapproved reply within 3 days and you ask for the generated 3971 they tell you that they didn’t accept it so they never printed it off? I know all about the grievance process but you never really recover the stress and financial harm in reality.

We’re that family member to them that you’ve got to keep your head on a swivel if they stand something to gain. Like causing you financial harm don’t bother them a bit if helps them meet their budget office hours or get their bonus.

no, i have defeated it.

here's the thing. whether they chose to print it off or not is irrelevant. the contract says 3 days. i have my confirmation # as proof, as well as my printed copy and screenshot. i attach my printed copy to my 4240 and scan both of them. (because we are not allowed to take pictures inside the PO) and then enjoy my time off with nary a thought to the office.

i personally have not experienced any financial harm because it knows better than to mess with my money.

if this is a constant with your moron, then you should be telling your stew you want escalating monetary penalties until someone at district slaps her/him down.

I was off and not able to attach to 4240 so didn’t catch the moron’s action till I checked ePayroll. I even emailed and called the stupid witch on payroll ending Friday but she wouldn’t answer. I called coworker on Saturday morning because I thought maybe she was off but coworker confirmed she closed that day.
