LTM update

Now your pay can change monthly when you do your LTM just to let everyone know. Because the union hasn't informed carriers about this did mine and lost 27min gained mileage and closed 12 boxes doesn't make any sense. So now Instead of the twice a year pay adjustment it will now be monthly good luck on letting someone know what you are making.
 
Saw this last week. Gained 15 minutes.

So if a route changes from H-J-K designation, potentially every month? Not only does pay change, but days off change? Nightmare for everyone from scheduling days offs to scheduling relief?

Supe and OIC had no idea what the "proposed" evaluation meant, and neither have looked into it or given any further information.
 
“10. Service Changes

When service changes occur, the Employer shall

promptly adjust the route evaluation as determined

by the formula below, and the compensation will be

adjusted, as appropriate. Such interim adjustment

shall be made by application of a formula based upon

(1) the appropriate box factor for the route, added to

the volume factor for the route, multiplied by the boxes

added to or subtracted from the route since the last

evaluation, and (2) the change in miles, utilizing the

appropriate factors of the drive speed matrix to

determine the time to be added or subtracted from

the route evaluation.”




For years carriers have complained about growth having to be grieved to adjust evaluations.

The latest contract says the 1 hour minimum for a change is gone and routes should adjust up OR down based on ANY change.

Now that it’s here…
 
The rural craft is going to be demolished we can't even hire subs let alone keep the ones we have. So when your route and pay and days off change on a monthly basis look out no one is going to want to work here let alone buy a house or car when you have no clue on what your pay will be each month.

This would only happen in Low Option and only for H/J or J/K. A route isn’t likely to plummet from K to H except in a MMS. Only a ton of growth would make a route grow from H to K.
Everything is based on the MMS volume & coverage factors.

You’re not likely to be changing Relief Day on a monthly basis unless you are already Low Option & on the cusp of the H/J or J/K. These changes are Low Option based so if you fall out of High Option, it will take a Territory Adjustment or MMS to qualify for High Option again.
Most people won’t have enough box or mileage changes to change evaluations. I’m on the cusp of 45k but have been frozen for a year. If my route comes back next MMS still on the cusp of an hour then I may be moving between the 44 & 45 hours.
I don’t really think it’s going to be that big of a deal.
