@gerl2... No way is the AUX run assignment over 12 in a day. I give 12+ hrs in a week. If this AUX runner is working 12 a day on a daily basis, there is something seriously wrong.
Nice way of explaining it.
Just add the code 3 if you want the 300 and day off
Or
Code 5 if you want the 300 and work all week
If they're getting an X Day, then that equals 50% of pay and the X Day (this is a DACA 3)... if they took a DACA 5 it is 150% of pay, with NO X Day... so there IS a difference... and the DACA 5 equals more $$$ money... ?They make us take the x day in same p.p. so Yes, we do get same amount of money AND the day off.
My office is small and I watch them do the time.
It's ridiculous how different everybody does $#!+... we have a new sub... been there a couple of months now, and has yet to run an entire Regular route... they just split it for them... back in the day, they'd just throw you on it, and it was sink or swim... if you didn't get done until 5 or 6 o'clock, then that's just how it was... oh well, as long as I get my day off, then wth...Sorry I forget about those true remote offices of 1 or 2 routes even though I consider my APO/RMPO with 11 rural runs one of them with lack of coverage and a MATRIX.
Good luck with shadow day. Last one in mix went to all the safety training first before shadow day. They bailed after first ride around due to not liking and the expectations from that REG and POV LLV options for needed coverage which was not mentioned in orientation. We are still short of coverage.
It varies greatly by location and each person's personal preferences and situation... some like time off, some like $$$ money... and so, signing, or not signing the RDWL is a personal choice... some places, signing it means you're going to work MANY of your relief days... some places signing it may not make much of a difference... so everybody should do what they think fits their own situation the best... it's certainly not a one-size-fits-all deal... jmho...Yesssss someone gets it, Thank You
The 12 weeks is consecutive while SKIPPING the start of Guarantee (mid-October) through end of Christmas Overtime (late-December). So if you gain an X-Day on October 1, mgmt can choose to schedule it ASAP before the NEW Guarantee or they’ll have to wait until AFTER the end of the Christmas OT. That “skip” doesn’t count in the 12-week time frame. Mgmt would have to schedule it by mid-February or pay it out.How does that work when effective retroactive, to the prior guarantee year?
@flash... The only time they can make you take the X day in the same pay period is in the guarantee period of 3 weeks of the Christmas rush. Other than that time frame you have 12 weeks to use that day.
Good one. They only want you to follow the rules. X-ray from 9/18 got to use it pay 2 of 2019. Then they shorted my check and gave me LWOP. Too funny for words. If we only had a manager with a brain!12 weeks to use an X-day, not 90 days. By the 90th day, you should be asking for it to be paid out.
Really . Columbus Indiana...no X days allowed during Xmas period!ACTUALLY, mgmt CAN make a Carrier take an X-day in the same Pay Period as long as it wasn’t earned as an “R”. An R3 X-day is at mgmt choosing so if they CHOOSE to schedule it right away, they can. The ONLY “mutually agreed” X-Day is from working an “R” & hopefully the Carrier knows to schedule it prior to working. Mgmt has the option to schedule it for up to 12 weeks but nothing stops them from doing it that same PP.
Also... the mandatory “Same Pay Period” rule is from the start of the Guarantee Period (mid-October) to the end of the Christmas OT Period (late-December). If the X isn’t scheduled in the same Pay Period during this time, mgmt MUST pay it out so the Carrier gets the same $$$ as a R5.
