Does anyone know for sure if your overtime pay counts towards your high 3 for retirement or not? I've been seeing conflicting answers. Some are saying that it is your evaluated salary only....

Dang guess that 10k in overtime doesn’t count from last year….Evaluation only
Adds to your Social Security annuity.... Maybe your TSP match as well, not for sure on that tho.... throw that extra $10K into an annuity, and that'll add to your retirement $$$$.... all $$$$ money, is good $$$$....Dang guess that 10k in overtime doesn’t count from last year….
TSP is also based on your "salary"----no OT included.Adds to your Social Security annuity.... Maybe your TSP match as well, not for sure on that tho.... throw that extra $10K into an annuity, and that'll add to your retirement $$$$.... all $$$$ money, is good $$$$....![]()

Short answer..noDoes anyone know for sure if your overtime pay counts towards your high 3 for retirement or not? I've been seeing conflicting answers. Some are saying that it is your evaluated salary only....
The highest 36 month evaluation window is what is averaged. My RT was a 48k. It fell to a 46J from mail count. Then it was brought back to a 48K from DPS review, fell to a 42K from MMS. All this while contract back pay was still part of the equation. My 36 months included 6 different evaluations due to revengeful wannabe mgr. But. Grievance brought it back to 48K average minus about 6 weeks total of other evaluations.So. High-3 average.
Do they average all salaries for the last 36 months, or your highest 3 in that 36 months?
Isn't there a 10 yr window? It’s the average of the highest 36 months over your career. For some people, that 36 months is a timeframe before RRECS evaluations were implemented.
I could look it up if I wanted to waste the time but I bet a 48K paid less 10 yrs ago than a 40hr evaluation does now.Isn't there a 10 yr window?
each hour is close to 2 grand at step 12, so 8 steps x 2 grand is some money... my bet would be closer to 15 years agoI could look it up if I wanted to waste the time but I bet
No there is no windowIsn't there a 10 yr window?
That's because legally it's not overtime. It's salary.48 k ,, the 8 hours overtime of that 48 k,, is included overtime for retirement purposes
