Many times if a customer has a box and a SPR, I'll just place the SPR on top of the box and walk them both to the door at the same time, especially if they don't have any mail. And how do they know what type of receptacle the customer has? Most routes out here have tiny, locked box openings. 1.5" pill bottles won't fit.
Nope...I freaked out about it yesterday..the issue us that it registers PARCELS as sprs...correct me if I'm wrongI may be the last person to notice this but Parcel Lookahead now tells you if a package is a SPR.
A parcel is different from a spurWell, defining something as a SPR isn't really dependent on the size of the mailbox. That's the way we rurals define it, but it's not the USPS definition which I believe is whether or not it fits into the satchel. I actually had to research this once and I'll find the documentation and post it here later when I have more time.
I don't think there's anything to this--other than it may be seen as something helpful to a carrier. I mean, that's what Parcel Lookahead was originally created for, wasn't it? So carriers could use it to see what parcels they had coming up or already passed and may have missed scans on . . .
I'm on vacation. So no scanner to reference. Going from @EthelAnne's post. This had me so messed up yesterday. Normally I only use 'load truck' for stuff I take to the door. If it has a green check, i know I loaded it in the back, red X meant it's a SPR, and a yellow triangle meant I had both.
i can't make understand this new setup. I had a large box yesterday listed as a SPR. Several other things I know I scanned, yet still showed 'not loaded'.
They are probably looking at the consistency of the deliveries whether that spr fits the mailbox on a regular base or taken to the door. And how do they know what type of receptacle the customer has? Most routes out here have tiny, locked box openings. 1.5" pill bottles won't fit.
It does seem like the yellow truck would be the same as the old yellow triangle, but I swear I had a few yesterday that didn't work that way. I missed a parcel, 'SPR' still showed on the scanner for that address, so I looked everywhere for a SPR, and none found. I went on about my way figuring it was something that I just didn't have (happens often), but a few miles down the road I found the large box in the back. Sure enough, when I went back and delivered the box, the SPR icon disappeared.I'm on vacation. So no scanner to reference. Going from @EthelAnne's post.
If you only scan to the door parcels while doing load truck. Wouldn't the yellow truck icon show? Doesn't matter if it's listed as a spur. Yellow means to the door parcel. If multiples, just glance at your spur tub/tray to determine the mix.
I disagree. I am looking at this from a game theory approach. Since RRECS pays us more for door delivery, wouldn’t they want to know what we are delivering to the door to minimize that cost?Oh, I don’t think it has anything to do with RRECS—I don’t know what it’s for but it might be helpful if you’re looking for a package to know if it’s a SPR.
you're not wrong.Nope...I freaked out about it yesterday..the issue us that it registers PARCELS as sprs...correct me if I'm wrong
i think wrecks is still bound to pay us according to initial screwup/setup, this is a software test, or designed as one, to help alleviate cloud space/carrier error/carrier cheating/mailer error/cheating,,, but once our dishonorable's see its true value,,,Nope...I freaked out about it yesterday..the issue us that it registers PARCELS as sprs...correct me if I'm wrong
My 2nd zip for parcel lookahead says no AMS on file and had no blue line when mapping. They should fix basic fundamental things first.Parcel look ahead hasn't worked in my office since several weeks before the update that changed the scan sounds.
Try working sundays someday it’s a cluster to the extreme. 20 some on one route 30 some on another etc. either puts you on the wrong street or sends you 6+ miles in the wrong direction. We made a list 2 years ago for all the addresses messed up for dynamic. Nothing got done nothing changed just wasted 6 hrs combined of POs dime.My 2nd zip for parcel lookahead says no AMS on file and had no blue line when mapping. My favorite was the new skull and cross-bones at the top of the screen. Maybe we're all pirates.I may be the last person to notice this but Parcel Lookahead now tells you if a package is a SPR.
Sounds accurate and they blame you of course. They crammed another amazon office into ours because of renovations. Two clerks walked out today and one got sent home for hostile work environment. Can’t wait to see how Christmas goes.Try working sundays someday it’s a cluster to the extreme. 20 some on one route 30 some on another etc. either puts you on the wrong street or sends you 6+ miles in the wrong direction. It makes monday lighter by a fair margin. I would guess 100-150 packages less per route more during peak season. We deliver all packages during peak not just Amazon. those numbers only reflect my office yours may see different results.Sounds accurate and they blame you of course. Rumors have been swirling about making our office a Sunday amazon delivery. We have one sub. Let’s do some hiring first before adding more work. For those of you with Sunday delivery, if it does get delivered, does that make Monday lighter or just the same as it always was with amazon? So if it doesn’t get delivered we’ll get Sunday on top of a normal Monday avalanche?
