8 flats= 48 seconds
1 parcels = 48 seconds( 20 seconds office time, 10 seconds street time, 18 seconds scan time)

Getting 10 seconds to deliver a package whether it’s 1/3 mile or 35 ft away.... no thanks. It’s a good thing ups is not taking my flats.
I thought that was what you were asking.Good point, there is at least special counts pretty much every September.... I guess I should have specified a National count where most of us would be counted....
I may change my vote after reading @Morty 's post about PM's conference.

YES, I meant a National count.... altho, initially I didn't specify Special or National....
I think a count would be bogus for a few reasons.... firstly, they were/are supposed to implement RRECS with the next count.... not likely they'll do that.... and secondly, with the Covid plague ongoing, and even flaring, it seems counter to good safety measures.... thirdly, with everybody get extra cash nowadays, seems bogus they'd be trying to cut our routes and wages.... and, I could go on, but you get my drift....

I’m in the “no flats and few letters” camp...even with the increase in parcels, the standards as they are now will not make up for the loss of flats time from last count. My certs are way down too. Not worth the hassle to count to me. PO would be taking a risk as well and spending hours they don’t have.

FYI... Depending on how many runs are out of your office and overburden status....
I have seen 1 route offices with an overburden K cut to a J so an AUX could be created.
If we are counting in Sept. We should know by early August.

If it's a National Count, I don't think there's normally any opt out option.... it's basically all or none.... ?

Why not? They ignore everything else don't they?I still harken back to the MOU that says RRECS will be implemented following the next mailcount.... so are they just gonna ignore that RRECS is to be implemented following the next count????

Yeah, I'd opt out at this point as well... too much hassle.... I'd just as soon skip it.... but, it is an election year....Oh crap, thanks for the bad news!
