I’m sorry someone wasn’t there to help..I was learning a MUCH larger route, and I was completely overwhelmed. So I quit. That’s all there is to it really. I don’t usually give up easy, I wish I would have given myself more of a chance.
Because you have to spend all your work hours inside with management jerks. Why not try for a PSE position? I personally wish I had become a distribution clerk over a carrier.
I was thinking about that. I feel like I would be good at that, more my style I suppose. In that case, I would have to go thru orientation again I’m assumingWhy not try for a PSE position? I personally wish I had become a distribution clerk over a carrier.
Might not have been possible - can an RCA with less than a year transfer? If you wanted in another office to begin with, why didn’t you just transfer to other office.???
Yes, district is doing the hiring and the local postmaster has no say. If you have a pulse and can pass the background check, you are in. That being said, the quality of the new RCAs coming in was better when the postmaster had a say. Now we get one, spend a month or 2 on training, the academy, etc, only to have them quit or have to let them go because they just can't figure out how to do the job in a timely matter, even with a lot of help.I'm pretty sure that you could be hired back at a different office. However, you may have to go through the whole process again.
I heard a rumor or maybe read it here that district is doing the hiring now and the postmasters don't have much say anymore. But I dunno.
If it's been less than XX many days, they may fast-track you into the new office. (At least that would make sense to me)
I heard the new RCAs at my office haven't even been to academy/training. Unconfirmed, but what I was told.
Yes they can, my sub joined my route in January this year, and in mid May, she transferred to an office 4 minutes from her home (my office is 40 minutes from her home).Might not have been possible - can an RCA with less than a year transfer?
