RCA's not scanning packages at porch

You have a ton of dirt to move for $200. You going to take all day to move it or getter done in half a day? You going to bitch or praise the faster one or the slower one? They both got the DIRT moved!

Thought I would bring this topic back up and recommendations on how to fix this, I have a newly sub or will be transferring to my route and I asked him if he is scanning packages at door and he states NO, all I could think of is you do know that you are supposed to be doing this and it will be your paycheck. He is moving to my route because it's a 44k and wants more money but in the long run, if you don't want to do what we will eventually get paid for why bother, your here for a paycheck but your willing to skip over the part that is going to make your paycheck, I don't get it. How will this affect my paycheck? I don't want a sub who is just running to get done and screw my route up. I am very concerned I have been doing everything for over a year on this and to have some wet behind the ear newby come in and kill everything I have been working on doesn't sit well with me. Not to mention I walk a lot of my packages, he drives up to the closest he can to the porch, I can understand if your old but he is only 24, naturally I am talking about short driveways. I sure hope the union is looking into this or exclude these RCAs in what is going to make our paycheck.

Early on Jeanette Dwyer said that we would still get paid for it. As long as the scanner measures the footage, it doesn't matter she stated, if I remember right

Rt 1 pays $200 to complete. RT 2 $300. Some days Rt2 has less than Rt. 1 and Rt 1 less than Rt 2. Maybe we should get paid by the weight and volume daily instead of a data breached pay system? Both same miles and stops too.

By delivering a parcel 5 more feet away in distance nets a carrier $10 more per day. Sounds like a real fair pay system, based on foot steps and not footage of mail and # of parcels delivered. You have to walk it further, do more work to feel like you are getting more fairly, fully paid? Your still not going to be able to get paid more than 48 hours per week no matter how far you walk. So by walking further and more often you feel like your pulling one over on somebody when it's you you are fooling. So when you get a new RCA who delivers different places using shorter walking distances will be getting done sooner. Oh no. what just happened to this perfect pay system. Bam! Cut time standards on parcels again. 48 hour Rt just got cut to 40. We gonna have to put a X marks the spot to scan and deliver parcels to?

I use to have a life before before parcels bombarded the PO TOO! Now I'm going to have to drag thaat heavy parcel 25 more feet to the other door to make this drudgery last even longer to get paid for actually taking longer to do the same route.

Good luck on that grievance, soon as it scans, I start walking back to the truck with my left at door scan completion.

Maybe they can throw out rca days on route like the hours worked table supposedly did.

just start doing it correctly NOW.

when rrecs is implemented, it will be utilizing the year before's pings...that's what we were told at a convention/conference. (can't remember which)

hopefully, you have another year to "erase" your bad info.

To the point where I've looked into suing the sub in civil court for lost wages....bc nothing is getting done about it..and I won't take a pay cut bc he wants to go home two hours early

You might want to start with education and training through suggestion or grievances before going nuclear.
BTW, years ago, I asked the national board and Dr Mericle about location of scan. They all said it was data from the originating scan of barcode. Privately, one of the group said finalize your scan at the same place because they didn't exactly know for certain what the programmers had written the code to collect.

Put us on a time clock and forget the tricks and scams! Scan the damn package where ever as long as it's delivered. If you have no life after work take your sweet time and everyone will get paid justly. But here is the rub to figure out 40 hours worth of work for all types of different people. Put Johnny on RT 1 and he completes it in 42 hours a week, but if Betsy carries same route, it takes her 55 hours. MMMUMM? How do we fix this? We waste time and more money figuring out a pay system that hurts and cheats every carrier. Got it! GET IT!

Was called load leveling. Machines too greedy. Peeps not on evaluated pay want over time. Extra effort they get overtime and rurals play cleanup because we enjoy working for nothing. Scam fest

I can't believe anyone really thinks rrecs is still coming going on 6 years now.

I wear a holster and take it with me, even to the bathroom(maybe I will get paid for that).

It works well for locating a misdeliverd package sometimes.

Why would running affect the way it judges distance, for that matter, I thought it measured from point to point?

not 6 years this started or was ordered in 2001 or 2002 change the pay system or I will was in a ruling then. both sides don't want it the machine because we are sub par employees in the eyes of the power holders and the not a union because 80 percent will be hurt by a change.

Yeah, I guess since we are one of the “lucky” ones to lose most of Amazon I’ll start now doing the whole scan at the door. I don’t know what to believe so I’ll take a few seconds do it right there. So now I hope the RRECS waits another year? Lol

That is a good point. It should still have the footage where I walk. AND management is supposed to sit with you and put in your delivery points right? So how does it all fall on the correct ping for compensation? This is all as clear as mud.

Shocking about how NOBODY really seems to know how any of this $#!+ works, or maybe more accurately, doesn't work....

I thought mapping was to determine all your door distance credit???? Map 100' to the door at an address, then when you do door delivery there, you get the credit.... ?‍?

This is what I mean. This is how I see it. Amazon says to USPS: "We will eventually be delivering all of our own stuff. Here is a nice chunk of money side deal, for your worthless and bloated service, that is always begging for a bailout. In return, we need data, to build our own routes."

If you scanned it left at front door that is where the package is, so go measure it if you don't believe me! No way anyone is going to get paid correctly!
