it’s the dumbest thing ever, you have to stop when you walk into the door so they can look whatever you bring backWhat do you mean by "red line" ?
Incorrect. Duties performed during an already-timed function (EOS oe Load time) are already being compensated for as they are being timed for Evaluation Time.Lyra -- "We got a new postmaster and there’s implementing this stupid red line again. But we are having to walk into only one door when to returning. I understand they can do the red line, but can they force us to walk around the building?"
-- Manglement can request carriers do what ever manglement wants. But it usually ends in one of two ways: 1) carriers request a reference, or 2) whenever carriers start requesting to be paid for the "new taskings" via the 8127.
-- If you are having to walk farther to reach the "red line" door, ask for the additional footage involved to reach the "red line" door.
"it’s the dumbest thing ever, you have to stop when you walk into the door so they can look whatever you bring back."
-- If manglement makes you wait at the "red line" until they come over to look at what ever you bring back, let them know they are "on the clock" for this new tasking! And that you expect the time to be part of your EOS duties. Or ask that you be paid via the 8127, which no doubt will cost manglement a LOT more than having the time added to your EOS. Note the time on the 4240 and make a copy for future reference.
Afaik, Red Line is also limiting eos to 5 minutes. What do you mean by "red line" ?
when you get back to office and hit "returntodu". My reading of it specificly is when you park to unload your vehicle. You're allowed to unload and store the vehicle in different spots (ie unload at dock/door then move vehicle out of way/proper parking spot).-- When does EOS time actually begin?
Agree. However, longer EOS times will figure into your evaluation.Incorrect. Duties performed during an already-timed function (EOS oe Load time) are already being compensated for as they are being timed for Evaluation Time.
What you are sharing is different from what is being required. The grievance from the City side was not allowing City Carriers to do their evening duties at their case. This has already been grieved and won in a ton of places. Make sure your city carriers are grieving it also.
City carrier specific but here is an arbitration win from 2016.

This “Redline” adds time to EOS and does not keep us from completing EOS.Afaik, Red Line is also limiting eos to 5 minutes.
I know...but everything I read/heard bout redline was trying to limit to 5min eos. It's allThis “Redline” adds time to EOS and does not keep us from completing EOS.
If any carrier is being regulated on any RRECS function, that should be grieved as there is no Benchmarking allowed. That being said, the carrier must not be falsifying scans or time.
but but but manglement says to hit no more scans instead of already passed during spm. This “Redline” adds time to EOS and does not keep us from completing EOS.

We hit whatever the deal is, passed or no more to scan, but take a pic and text to supervisor. This is so he has some type of evidence sorta to prove to his idiot superiors that we weren't just lazy arses.but but but manglement says to hit no more scans instead of already passed during spm.
i know diff topic.. but cant help it
