I am not arguing anything - the union has had nearly 15 years to argue for increasing table 2 wages and yet here we are with the disparity between the two growing wider with every cola. That is real wealth compounded over time that will never be recovered. my groceries and other living expenses don't cost proportionately less than yours. Never mind the fact that the % we pay into FERS is also over three times more. Table 2 is subsidizing Table 1 who has sacrificed nothing for the good of solidarity.

Table 1 held the line for decades before you started, Table 1 are the vast majority of the people working in the union as stewards defending all of us every day. When table 2 steps up then maybe things will change. You seem hell bent on “us vs them” when all you see is the end of a lifetime of work. Put in the time, put in the effort, you’ll get yours too.

Don’t do it seriously do not do it, all it will do is feed a further negative outlook. Not saying be happy about it or even content about it. It’s not worth the negative energy that this line of thinking will bring.

Although it was 14 years ago this month that this Table 2 & Table 4 were set in place by an Arbitrator, the fight should be to equalize the COLA credit for Table 2 as well as fight to transfer all Table 2s to their prospective location on Table 1.
If this is not done soon, all Table 1s will be at Step 12 & no Table 3s will exist. Then they’ll simply move the T1-S12 over to T2-S15 when all have reached 14 years.

I am not sure how many carriers are going over the 57.36 boundary. I do know that I have to put in a grievance every two weeks to get paid for the overage though. Just doing this easily puts me into the $3,000 range of pay per year that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's like having two jobs, my route and my own accounting practice. My Union rep just sent me a grievance template to use every pay period. It's kinda like a Cola? I just have to do the work each pay period for it. It's not automatic.

Gotstamps: are you saying that all Table 1 carriers will automatically be shifted into the Table 2 Group because of the 14 years? Every carrier still around will be maxed out on table 1. Thats seems like a good time to merge
