UBBM is now supposed to be counted!

(2) The rural carrier agrees in writing to use
sufficient annual leave to assure that the
total actual hours worked, with appropriate
consideration of Christmas overtime,
will not exceed the 2,080 annual guarantee;
and
(3) The rural carrier must have a minimum of
ten (10) years from the retirement computation
date.

Besides. it even says , " in the event I am able to elect a higher route classification, I agree to use sufficient A/L blah, blah, blah. Well, if you do not have 10 years in, you are not able to elect.

Yep. Same here. If they cannot give me a report that shows I delivered X amount of parcels to door, X amount to patcel locker, X amount in / at mailbox, total DPS, total accountable mail , etc. , I am not signing either. I am also downloading to a disk that redacted final engineer's report and submitting that with my reasons for not agreeing to the count / evaluation. And for those who do not have 10 years in as a career carrier, DO NOT BE FORCED INTO SIGNING THE LEAVE AGREEMENT EITHER. THAT IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO DO HAVE THE OPTION TO ELECT HIGH OR LOW. LESS THAN 10 YEARS HAS NO OPTION.
Has anybody really said we need to sign anything???? Maybe they're just gonna hand us the new 4241-a and say here you go.... check the schedule for your new H Route.... 🤷‍♂️🧐

I will blame carriers for being uninformed. Reams of information was provided by the union and shared here for non-members. Literally hundreds of questions were answered by the union and shared here for non-members. If a carrier couldn’t find info, it’s because they couldn’t be bothered, or they lack the skills to understand what was being answered/explained.

This failure to take responsibility for one’s own actions is a problem (and not just for he rural craft). It’s so much easier to point fingers at others than look in the mirror and say, “Hey, I screwed up. I’ll try to do better next time.”

And the 1000 different answers you get on the site is one of the problems with this site. And I love this site and think it’s valuable for sharing info, venting, and getting a quick answer to a not particularly important question, but no one should be relying on this site solely for information on their employment and livelihoods.
When one person fails it’s a fault of the individual. When an entire organization of people fail it’s the fault of their leaders.

I just can't see how anyone can keep a straight face when saying, it's all good with the NRLCA and RRECS, but it's the fault of all these 10's of thousands of carriers..... js... deflection at its finest.... they're delusional.... 🤷‍♂️(n):poop:👈👉

no one in our office is going to sign off on this count since it’s been a cluster for two weeks, and the fact that the out of the radar report the only thing that’s accurate is loose flats and the end of run report is worthless and no Reccs data available to bounce the parcel and spur count not to even see many other things. We have no way to verify the data we collected to anything offered from the post office
None of what you’ve stated is what is being signed for as correct. It doesn’t matter on those items as they are not part of the Survey. They will be part of your Evaluation, regardless.
There are 2 Signatures on the PS-4241: Agreement to use leave for High Option & Agreement to the numbers, timings, & footage listed on the 4241.

Seems ridiculous to me that these peeps wanna totally ignore how funked up this entire RRECS nonsense is.... from the funked up scammers, to the funked up scans, to the lack of transparency, etc., etc.... but these union shills are so worried that the blame might fall on the funked up NRLCA they're working overtime trying to blame carriers for all the NRLCA failures.... really is pitiful.... so their story is, the NRLCA and RRECS are just fine... it's the carriers that are funked up.... makes me wanna puke green.... but not surprising as this is what the worthless NRLCA shills always do....🤷‍♂️🤮(n)
💸Keep calm and pay on ….🤫 those dues are hard at work kinda like p*ssing in the wind💸

Fwiw, I already signed mine. Our office counted what was supposed to be counted. In the end, what does it matter anyways. I could have had 1 or 1 million raw letters, the Machine is gonna give us our new evals with no recourse at all. How do we disprove any of THEIR #s (if there's any #s at all)? My flats and DPS are HALF of what they were in 2018. And, add that the new time standards are also halved (half of a half)... no way to come back from that loss

I think carriers who were forced to stop counting letters from DPS that were UBBM should not sign. I'm not sure if it will mean anything, but I would not sign if this happened in my office.

That's me and why I am not signing off on it.

#1 is that.

#2 I had grand total of 4 RAW LETTERS brought to me on Monday!! ON MONDAY!! Union told me well can't do anything. I have over 20 RAW LETTERS from the plant every day but that Monday. Something isn't adding up there.

Same here.... I kept track of everything and it was added to my numbers in the end so I signed also. I feel like you it isn't going to make any difference anyway. They will make it what they want.

Don’t know what you mean. I’m kinda impressed that this was resolved within a week instead of months after the Evals were handed down.
I think that's sorta the diff I see between you and me..... earlier in this min-count or survey, I recall hearing mngt peeps on a telecon addressing the UBBM debacle.... some of the mngt peeps who sincerely wanted to do things fair and right, asked if they should keep count of the UBBM in case it was later reversed..... they were specifically told NO, do not keep track of the UBBM.... so, the USPS is dealing in real time with these issues, and effectively conducting WAGE THEFT ..... whereas, the day-late and dollar-short NRLCA are always WELL behind the times, and getting us left in the dust.... so again, re-read your statement above, and think how pathetic that really does make the NRLCA look.... 🤷‍♂️(n):poop::oops:

HINDSIGHT to improve our next experience in a mail survey.
We didn't do this in my office and I wish we had.

Everyone should have taken the time to train and prep with their coworkers. Every rural carrier (reg and subs) should have sat down together and trained and reviewed what is occurring during the mail survey. During this time figure out what they wanted to get approved for misc time and office distances. Discuss the method of how dps was handled and what would be credited as random. Train the subs on what the procedure will be.
Then during the pre survey talk with management the carriers should have discussed all the issues that came up during their own rural meeting and make sure management was already on board.

Next time I will organize this for me and my peeps. Might organize a "training" session for me and my peeps on Rrecs once our new evaluations come out. We desperatley need each other. One voice saying all the same things.
I'm just really disappointed in this RRECS nonsense.... seems sad that we have to do a bunch of EXTRA scanning and other nonsense just to get paid.... seems they should have been able to come up with something that captured a fair eval from scanning and GPS already being done.... it's highly slanted to the USPS's favor in my opinion.... all errors and omissions are in their favor, not the carriers..... I really don't see much in favor of carriers.... we're on the slippery slope, and already well down it.... no climbing back up I'm afraid.... but, take comfort in knowing as I head toward the exit door, I'll pause just long enuf to wish you all well, and bid you a SEE YA, SURE WOULDN'T WANNA BE YA!!!! 🤷‍♂️✋(y)🤩🥳

I was annoyed because my people didn't dive into the info and read it and make themselves understand it. They have 52 past weeks of being unaware.
I then think about how to explain what thought processes go on in my head to achieve credits through my workday.....
THAT'S WITH A HUGE ASSUMPTION THAT i am actually understanding this myself.
I simply don't understand how to help anyone understand this. It does take extra effort to do things at the right times and evaluate your workload to consider how you want to carry the workload.....I don't think people will want to do this. Not when we are surrounded by hourly employees that don't have to consider efficiency and time standards that directly effect their wage. The other crafts, just work without having to think about how they are getting paid for every action.
Hourly would just be easier.

Honestly I am excited to know evaluations but want to throw up about it at same time.
I just can't see this working out.
I have ALWAYS said hourly would be a heck of a lot easier.
I have always hated the eval system.
I just take my time, run my route and let it be what it is.
I'm NOT in it as a race!

They will cheat you even more so with hourly. They already putting down lunches that carriers do no take. I can imagine what other shananigians will go on, if we are hourly. Trust me, it won't be a lot easier. You would have to keep track of every minute.

This is exactly right. People want hourly without the BS that hourly comes with lol. Anyone who wants hourly needs to become more familiar with how city side works.

Micromanagement is on the rise regardless.... we just got told that all stops that are more than 10 minutes must be explained.... apparently, anything that shows up on their "sitting still" report needs an explanation.... either lunch scans, or 4240 notation of car trouble or flat tire or whatever.... big brother is definitely wanting us to know they're looking over our shoulders.... also, they said our case labels all have to display the printing dates, and they can be no more than 6 months old..... oh well, I guess it's an opportunity to rack up some RRECS EOS time.... 🤷‍♂️🧐
