Working in another office, under a different post master

If we work out of our office, under a different pm, do we get paid mileage? This po is almost and hour drive from my assigned po. If so, can you point me in the direction for proof?

-- Step 4 ( G10R-4G-C14188328 ). In part:

- The parties agree when rural carriers are required to travel to a temporary duty station that is within 50-mile radius of their permanent duty station, there is an entitlement to mileage reimbursement. In accordance with handbook F-15 ( Travel and Relocation ), Section 7-1, the mileage will be reimbursed for any mileage that exceeds the distance between home and your permanent duty station. If the mileage is less than that between home and the permanent duty station, mileage reimbursement cannot be claimed.

-- BTW -- the 50-mile radius is as the crow flies and the actual distance could be actually farther, depending on the roads.
 
So if you travel 10 miles to your station. And the place you're loaning to is 40 miles away from you. You will subtract 10 from 40 and get paid 30 milesx2.

And over 50 miles. You're allowed a hotel and per diem. Travel to location the night before. Or you can travel round trip + per diem.

I think that it is important to note that the language in the referenced step 4 specifically says "required". Maybe I missed it but I didn't see that this person is being required to work at this other office. I know that many PM's will pay mileage as an incentive to get the help or because they don't know better, but if the relief carrier is working in another office for any reason other than being required, I don't believe they are entitled to mileage to and from said office.
If wrong, set me straight!!!

This is my understanding, if you volunteer you get nada! If voluntold you get the difference in mileage from normal commute.
 
I trained on it today. Will train again next Thursday. And they want me to work it the 6th and 7th.
Wow, the 6th and the 7th....long day...

be sure to put in for actual hours worked monday....if you have never done the route before or havent in a year.

Most pm's either don't know about this rule or conveniently forget it.

At least you get to train on it a couple days, nice.
