Told to not use doormisc?

I was told to not use doormisc when I go up the door for accountable letters when I leave a notice.

Was told we are already getting credit for the scan at the door on the accountable

The definition is vague
Who is correct?

jdpowers1965 -- "I was told to not use doormisc when I go up the door for accountable letters when I leave a notice. Was told we are already getting credit for the scan at the door on the accountable. The definition is vague. Who is correct?

-- For starters, I got out before RRECS began.

-- As certs sometime show up in the DPS, I'd politely ask manglement at the end of the day to provide a printout confirmation that the route had an accountable item if you delivered it, but it didn't have a green return receipt.

-- On a side note, with RRECS Q&S's in the HUNDREDs, apparently the "engineers" didn't think of everything!

So the trip to door is automatically included whether the certified is delivered or left notice?

Correct. Think of it as a parcel. You do not do 'trip to door' for each parcel you take to the door because the initial trip is calculated with the scan. Certifies are the same.

On a side note. You can use 'doormisc' for parcel pickups when it is at the front door.

Parcel pickups gives the mileage & footage when you scan at the door. No DoorMisc is used unless you pickup anon-scan item

You have been cheating yourself if you haven’t been inputting ‘doormisc’.
That is not for Parcel Pickups. Those are other items that we collect that do not have a scan. Notice in that section, The credits for these items are an automatic average regardless of what is collected or if anything is collected.

Sections 28 & 29 address the credits for Parcel Pickups. Section 28 clearly states that Drive & Walk are credited by the address location.

If you have to go to the door to pickup parcels and you dont have a package pickup scan, you are not getting credit for going to the door.

Yes and a no. I am aware of section 28 and 29 but section 30 is for ‘parcel accepted’ also. Pickups are ‘parcel accepted’ so before they change the wording I would assume pickups are included in section 30.

You assume incorrectly. #28 & #29 clearly explain for prepaid excepted packages. This goes for paper request of not. The Scan gives you the Drive/Walk footage just as it does for delivering a Scannable package. #30 is clearly for non-scan items as it shows absolutely no credits for scanning any items.
What you are doing is “double-dipping”. Hope you don’t get caught.

That would be correct if there is no scannable item or package pickup paper (scan bar is on it).

Parcel pickups are typically for Prepaid parcels so the paper and/or package(s) have a scan & that gives Drive/Walk credit.

So you are saying by utilizing Rrecs "O" with or without a pick up request form then we get walking and driving at the address?
I disagree, but I might be thinking about this wrong.

I assume (because I can not verify) the carrier pick up is broken up into two sections that give credit
#28 credit is triggered by the scan of a manifest during the rrecs "O" #29 credit is triggered by the Rrecs "O"scan.

The Guide page 79 and 80
28. Carrier request and prepd parcel event
contains the following credits.
S026 handle & verify form. 6.84sec
So33 driving speed
s034 walking speed
s045 Pick up and prepd event. 71.22 sec
(actions 1 - 12)

29. Carrier Pick up items and prepd over 2 lbs
S046 (tasks 1 -5) 9.55 seconds per piece
actions (1-5)
S070 (to scan msnifest if present) 6.06sec
S070(1st piece if no manifest) 6.06 sec
S071(scan for additional pieces) 1.34 seconds per piece.

So the drive and walking only occurs during the scan of a manifest in 28 on pg 79. If I have a note in mailbox telling me to go to door, or ost master tells me to go to door and pick up, then I need to do door misc to get drive and walk distances credited.

RRECS “O” is used in both 28 & 29. That action attaches the Drive/Walk credit as well as the credits for the pickup. A Paper is not required to use “O” but for credit for packages over 2 #s it is.
#30 is not for parcels over 2 #s as you would use RRECS “O” for those. #30 is an automatic credit for the small stuff found for pickup in the mailbox that do not qualify for the Parcel Pickup credit. If we go to the door to collect these items, then we use DoorMisc. This should be a rare occurrence for a customer to have small non-scan items that won’t fit into the mailbox; i.e. locking drop-in mailbox.

I edited #14 since your response #15. I do understand 28 and 29 are triggered under rrecs "o". I dont have a proper way to verify if 28 and 29 are being credited in tangent or separate. I know what makes sense and choose to believe the way that makes sense. They will do what they want and I cant understand or verify any of it.
I do "H" for 30 but not sure if the average is accurate for the amount of "H" I scan because it isnt based on "h" scans its based on a formula with total boxes. There is zero way to verify any of this so I just gave up thinking this is an evaluation based on piece count like the previous evaluated system. What I believe we are experiencing is a volume-indexed activity-based labor compensation mechanism and that is why I prefer the idea of hourly.
