load vehicle and end of shift deems list

I am the only rural in my office. So, I have no info source. Many times I enter Start load, End Load, and Depart at one time, and when returning, do the same thing at Clock out. PM has never complained. Does it hurt evaluation?
What do you mean at one time? You should hit start load. Load your mail onto your conveyance and proceed to the loading area and load your vehicle. Return conveyance and then end load. When you are in your vehicle and it is loaded and you're ready to pull away and leave the office to serve the route you hit depart. Upon return to your unit you hit j. When you wrap up what you gotta do in the office and are heading to leave the building clock out.

Yes it hurts you evaluation. You get actually time for loading (the time between when you hit Start Loading and End Loarding.) And between hitting Return to Office and Clock Out/PMCasing. If you tell the post office it takes less time to do those activities than it takes they will believe you and use those times to calculate your evaluation.

Yup. The times that matter for evaluation are the time between start and end load, and the time between return to DU and clockout. Those are times entered and averaged. So be certain to punch startload when you first start working on parcels to load, even if in the office. If your scanner beeps and asks if you're done loading, push 1 or NO and continue until completed. Only endload when you're done. When you return to the office, punch return to DU. DO NOT punch clockout in til you're ready to hang up your scanner and go home.

Ray, this forum is an excellent source for rural carriers. If you can't find the answer to your question, start a thread in the form of a question, and you'll get great answers from some of the very capable and thoroughly knowledgeable people on here.

yes, for the last 3 years.

please start educating yourself. start with the RRECs comprehensive guide.

your PM is definitely going to start complaining. you just tell him/her that you talked to someone in the union and they told you the correct way to do your route. then put your ADR/DR on speed dial, because you will probably have to start filing grievances.

don't back down, this is your money and your rights.

It hurts big time . I would say you are loosing out about 4 or 5 hours a week evaluation at least if you do it every day .
BTW , PM will never complain about this as you are only hurting yourself

For all carriers. After you hit depart2rt, you get NO credit for one or any load times. There were carriers that would load parts of their routes and load the rest when they came back by the office at the 1/2 way point. No loading time is credited after they hit depart2rt.

Yes I once said that here long long time ago and was questioned by many . There are reasons for 6 must do entry for everyday . It’s the main framework of credits . In certain segment certain credit can not be obtained

The mid day load DOES show up on the rrecs scans. So is it not being credited even though it shows up?

In my effort to understand the system. I am doing a little experiment. If I only log the usps data from the days I worked, would the resulting data from the mms show me sub contribution? I think this will be the end result. If data catagories are up or down , then sub contribution created that increase or decline.
I am beginning data collection and analysis on future eval 10 that begins with the most recent mms eval data as the routes baseline.

If you are going to tell me load times that show up on my scanner are not all getting to the system then my daily data is total crap and this little experiment I am doing is worthless. Granted None of us REALLY know if data gets dropped in some way or another.

You can have your manager pull up data everyday. You can look at your load times everyday. You can see how many you had and their duration. When you look, you won't find any after you hit depart2route, unless it is on a 2nd trip and after you are in pm casing.
I required my manager to look and find everything i wanted when Rrecs started and eventually he did. It is not easy to find, but everything can be found.

I saw them.
After depart but before return du, the additional load times were there.
Great job . But I must say it doesn’t answer the part of credit allocation.
I believe you are saying you saw the MDD report . MDD report says only what you did with MDD ( scanner ) . It does not say what is being accepted by RRECS storage server at the end of day after sorting out . There is a sorting out process everyday . I am sure of it .It happens end of the day when all the data gets or attempts to get uploaded to RRECS storage.I do not have any literature saying it or I didn’t come across any such thing but I am sure of it .
Why do I think so ? Please hear me out . I will give 3 examples. It will be clearly evident to you——-
1. Think about a day where you yourself made some mistakes on 6 entry . double clock out or so or no load time etc . We are told RRRECS server will not accept those data that day . They will insert an average credit . But MDD report will show your double clockout and blank load time .Both cannot be true .
2. Or think about “split day” . If 2 people are doing your routes and both clocks in and uses the scanner as if they are working solo on the route . MDD report will show many MDD entry . But we are told none of the RRECS entry will be accepted that day . So MDD report is worthless that day .
3. Or think about a day where all the 6 entries are perfect but on purpose you scan a door delivery of 1 package 5 times ( after say each 15 seconds or so giving time to upload) . Will you be credited for 5 packages delivery? No . It will be sorted out end of the day and RRECS server will accept one delivery event . But right after your 5 delivery scan is uploaded from the MDD to delivery server if you check usps.com/ tracking it will show your 5 delivery scan . Both cannot be true .

So there is a sorting process. MDD report is not necessarily the true snapshot of what RRECS server accepted for credit allocation. It can be . If there is no sorting out item in there . Otherwise no . And I suspect loading entries in between depart2route and return2unit is such a sorting out item

As we all know we get one scan per one bar code per day. The last parcel scan is what counts. You can check thise 5 scans you make 15 seconds apart, the last is all that will register. However, if you scan that parcel that is in the box or still by tge door tge next day, you will get full credit again.
The final load times are found on the RMSS Activity Entry Details. Your manager can find this information by searching there under: 1) Area, 2)District, 3) Poom, 4 Finance number, 5) Route.
You will find thete your 6 daily scans, with multiple load times if taken.
I used this to prove that management wasn't ensuring Rcas were not loading properly when splitting routes in our office. There would only be 5-10 minutes of load time and none for the time another rca loaded my parcels, but a large amount of load time to the route the splitting Rca was assigned.
When your manager says they don't know how to find that information, tell them to call their "Help desk".
Everything can be found and seen that is credited to our routes, it just takes some digging.

Yes I know all of that . And that was my point last one is credited to. But all the activities are present in MDD . But limitation safeguards are present outside of the MDD to sort out and give credit to 1 scan . However , if you go to usps tracking all 5 scans will show ( I haven’t gone for similar tracking last few years, but I remember from years back all 5 scans Are showing) . So point I was trying to make ( after agreeing with you that load time in between depart and return doesn’t count for credit) these MDD reports and activity logs are not the true snapshots of what we are getting credit for . Something close but not exact . Exact RRECS acceptance snapshot either doesn’t exist or is not available to us

It does exist and is available to us through our managers access to the Radar reports and the RMSS. Everything is there except the radar rreports are 3-5 days late with the bundled flats. The raw letters and flats that show up directly to our offices without going through a plant machine are not counted, like much of the political mail. After filling grievances on those types of mailings we've been allowed to scan them as box holders.
